Sea Otter Eco Tours

We left from the marina in Port Alice full of expectation for a great day out. It’s not possible to schedule to see wildlife but it sure helps going with someone as as knowledgeable as George who knows where the sea otters hang out usually! We saw so many otters and it was an incredible experience. We saw seals, a sea lion, a humpback whale (unusual we hear) and plenty of bird life. We heard about natural history and local history and were even able to stop at the amazing and beautiful community of Quatsino, accessible by boat only.I highly recommend this tour and we will be back!

George took us out for 2 beautiful days on the water looking for the perfect photograph and we achieved our goal!

I have been wanting to see the sea otters who are making a come back on the west coast of Vancouver Island for some time now....George took us out and we saw many including a mom and her babe being transported on her stomach. They are lovely animals and I was thrilled to be able to see so many up close....as a bonus we also saw a humpback and her calf and were able to watch what appeared to be the babe taking a nap on the surface while the mom hung out and fed for about 20 mins before returning to nudge junior awake and carry on with their day. George cooked us delicious salmon for lunch and we chatted about the area. This is a first rate tour and not to be missed. George is a knowledgeable guide and fun to be with for the day

We had a great day with George!I would even say this day belongs to our Favorite day's within our trip in Canada (3 month)George is very much into the Sea Otters, he respects the animal... he is also very much into the customer on his Tours. We saw much MORE Sea Otters than expected... And also spottet 3 humpback Wales and Bald Eagles.We would love to come back to do this Tour again with George.A BIG THANK YOU TO GEORGE FOR THIS GREAT DAY!!!

We had a wonderful time on the water. We were able to catch fish, see the sea otters and drink in the amazing views! It was the highlight of our trip thanks to Gord!
