I don’t recommend this place, I started here when I was very young so I didn’t really have a choice on where I could go for my braces. My mother keeps telling me how she’s sorry she put me through this experience and how she just wished it was over. For starters I had a situation where I required headgear and I wasn’t able to wear that for as long as I needed so I currently have my overgrown bottom jaw still. Something else is I don’t think my checkups were scheduled properly, every 2-3 months really? I thought I’d have to get checked on every month. Every single time I experienced torture when they switched out my wires, they’d never cut them properly and they’d always be poking. They also kept taking my chains on and off every appointment to the point where I thought they were just messing with me. Also don’t expect to be comfy while waiting, wait times have always been 1-3 hours long even after your so called ‘scheduled’ appointment, my mom was so outraged every time since she was missing her work time which was a very big schedule and I had to miss exams at one point. They’d also keep delaying my meetings with the doctor, I could’ve gotten there an hour earlier than 2 other people and he would check on the others first. The front desk staff were nice and friendly though. I must say when your waiting in the chair, laying down- they’ve never propped me up so your neck does get quite sore since your waiting for an hour in the reclining chair. Waiting an hour for a simple wire change is ridiculous. Also I had my braces on for almost 5 years and they ended up delaying taking them off for another 3 months which agitated me so much that I went home and cried that night. Finally when they did take them off it was a horrible experience, they scraped my teeth so hard and they never buffed or smoothed them down. So I had glue and residue on my textured teeth that I had to go to the dentist for. Honestly the mental torment that this place has put me through and the hours of school I missed. I’d rather have crooked teeth, that’s another thing- they don’t provide permanent retainers so assuming you’d like to enjoy your days without a clear retainer in 24/7, that’s impossible if you come here. I’d actually like to take all those years back.

I was a patient of Dr.Schacher’s many many years ago and still get many compliments on my smile. I now bring both of my children to him and my eldest is almost complete his treatment after a year and a half. Dr.Schacher is very knowledgeable and a perfectionist! I would highly recommend him, his practice and his amazing staff.

The actual worst. I have been unfortunately coming here for THIRTEEN years. Got my braces on as a teenager and 13 years later still dealing with having my retainers adjusted because my teeth constantly want to shift back because he doesn’t believe in permanent retainers. Not only is it extremely frustrating that I have been having to come here multiple times a year to keep my teeth in line, I have to wait for well over an hour just to be seen. They need to come up with their booking process because it is absolutely insane that the wait times are as long as they are. The staff is nice but the experience is horrid. Anyone I know that has been here all have crooked teeth because once they were weened off of their retainers their teeth went right back to where they are. The purpose of spending all that time and money on braces is to not have to deal with coming back all the time. If I could give this place zero stars I would. 100% do not recommend to anyone ever.

My son is a patient here. When you make a scheduled appointment be prepared to wait 30mins to an hour past the scheduled time. You will be given very little information unless you ask specific questions.

I’ve been going to Dr. Schacher Orthodontists for years along with my siblings. We’ve always had great service and support here especially when something broke! They were always right one top of it and got you in asap. While you wait you get to watch a movie in the little movie theatre and when called you can still continue to watch it with the tvs all around you! Overall great experience and I’m on night a week with my removable retainers!

The best! At the time when I was looking into getting braces years ago I compared prices from most places in southern Ontario. And let me tell you you that Schacher Orthodontist was by far the cheapest and utilized the most advanced technology. Consultation for me was free. I believe they still do that; if not definitely by friend/family referral. Wait times are like non-existent when you're lost enjoying a film on THEIR MOVIE SCREEN! Yes their waiting room is a movie theatre. Dr. Schacher and the entire staff have been incredible over the years. Going above and beyond for their clients. Always remembering names and dates. Taking temperatures during covid. If your retainer cracks or breaks; no problem they book an appointment immediately. Dr. Schacher knows more than every single dentist I've ever met. Honestly I don't know if I'm smiling more now because my teeth are straighter or if it's from meeting them. Everyone on their team is equally valuable and they treat everyone like family.Also to other reviews: they give you plenty of time with each appointment date in advance so that if necessary you can reschedule your work for the timeframe of the appointment. I've had to work many times on an appointment date; I was never late

I have been coming here with my daughter for the past 4 years and from the minute we walk in the welcome is awesome. Staff and Dr Schacher himself are all amazing. I am happy to have the team working on my daughters soon to be perfect smile.

I have been coming to Dr. Schacher since 2017. The staff is amazing - they are always very kind and Carol has always been notably so helpful. Dr. Schacher and his team have been there to fix any issues that have arose during my braces process and even after my braces have been removed, they have continued to be helpful in my care. I have appreciated all they have done for me these past few years!
