I'm not one to write reviews often but wanted to take the time to offer my support to one of my favourite restaurants in Montreal, Yuukai sushi. Pre-Pandemic my family and I were regular customers and since the pandemic we've been ordering regularly. The food is fresh and tasty. The sunshine roll and salmon nigiri are my personal favourites. The service is excellent! They even reassured that they checked their food for freshness and temperature during the recent power outage caused by the ice storm (2023). If you like sushi, give them a try!

Was so happy to discover that this jewel of a restaurant was still opened. Few month back went to their old address and saw a closes sing and was very sad. Anyhow turns out they moved a few blocks away. Went last night with some friend and they didn’t disappoint all was very good and fresh. The dessert was attacked before I could take a pic but do try the green tea cheesecake and friend bananas Will come back Bonus still a BYOB resto

Very fresh and tasty food especially the chefs specials, we tried the saumon exotique and Mont Fuji… amazing flavours! Sashimis and the Kama were so fresh and delicious, at the end, I wanted to stand up and just clap for the Chef!:)

My food experience at Yuukai was incredible... I went for the first time on December 30th and I am still dreaming about the mix of flavors that I tasted. We were 4, we only order from the chalkboard and every dish had something special. I highly recommend this place. Staff was friendly and in bonus its a BYO.

Creative sushi rolls - all tasted fresh and flavourful! We loved the miso soup especially, it was so good and full of flavour. Only downside was service being a bit too slow.

Fresh, delicious sashimi. Creative and well executed chef’s specialties. Service is attentive, friendly, and unpretentious. Menu delivers good value for the money, made even better by bringing your own wine or sake. In the crowded sushi restaurant space, Yuukai stands out as deserving a regular spot in the rotation.

They changed their location, but still great as before ! We asked for carte blanche, let the chef decides whats best ! They had a new arrival of tuna ! We had the cheeks, the tuna head, the pizza sushi was a delight and the salmon tartare on the mint tempura was amazing ! Everything was top notch ! Please come here, you wont regret it! I will always come eat here if i want japanese craving. This is not your typical japanese, it has a personal touch and the staff is very nice! :)Also, its a byow ! How better can it get !!?

We have been going to Yuukai for years now and everything on the menu is just delicious! The sashimis are so fresh, and the the rice in every maki or special rolls are just the perfect taste and texture. Everyone who work there are so welcoming and accommodating and we can’t wait to go back.

It's delicious! Their portions are generous especially for the sashimi or nigiri. I love their raw scallops and their broiled eel. It isn't traditional sushis are more a fusion. If we rely on the traditional flavor, I would say it's halfway there. There's no flavor in the rice to give an example. But as a fusion sushi, it's very good and the seafood is very fresh! The presentation is beautiful too. I'll be back for more.
