The Terra Nova Veterinary Clinic

Awesome vet, could not recommend better. I've had experiences with both of the vets at the office and can say they both care about my pets as if they were their own. They lay out the facts in an easy to understand manner, answer any questions that I might have truthfully, and are not keen on pushing the more expensive medicines just for the sake of making a few dollars. For example, my cat tore all his claws out when he flew to Newfoundland. I asked if I needed antibiotics, completely ready to spend whatever was needed for him. The vet looked at his nails (which I had been tending to for the weekend), said they did not look infected, and suggested that if I'd like to buy a $10 cleaning solution they could provide that. She told me what to look for with signs of infection and that if those were to arise I could bring him back. I trust them with recommending what is best for all of my pets, and would recommend them to all my friends

Great vets. Dr Stokes and Dr Ellison are very good at their jobs as well as seeming to genuinely care about your pet. My only issue with this clinic is the front staff. They are very rude and dismissive and seem annoyed to do basic requests or answer questions.

5 stars isn't enough; I'd give 10 stars if I could.The quality of care my cat has been getting at this vet for the past few years has been phenomenal, and I firmly believe that the advice and recommendations from Dr. Stokes is the main reason she is still alive and doing well today. He is a fantastic vet, incredible with my timid cat and very pleasant to talk to about anything related to my cat's health. He's compassionate and understanding, and he's very good at explaining answers to any questions I have. My cat and I couldn't ask for a better doctor to look after her needs.The rest of the staff is also very friendly, great service and pleasant to deal with. I know my cat is in good hands when she's at Terra Nova.

Fantastic vets. Dr. Stokes and the entire crew at Terra Nova have been nothing short of terrific for our three dogs and two birds, always plentiful with advice, patience and care.

Dr Stokes is really knowledgeable and very good with animals. We brought our parrot to him as we heard he was a good bird vet (there aren't many avian vets in St John's) we found he was very knowledgeable and quick to answer any if our questions without having to research or anything. We even started bringing our dog to him after who he was also very good with. Our dog has had a lot of trouble with allergies in his life and we have seen many vets in the city but so far we have found Dr Stokes to be the best we have seen.Updating my review. Unfortunately my dog passed a while back and went to see Dr Stokes in his last days. Dr Stokes took the time to discuss his condition and offered compassion when we needed it and helped us make the difficult decision to let our friend pass. I don't think you could ask for a better vet

One of the only places in town that sees reptiles. Great vets and a great environment

The staff at this clinic are all amazing, I'm so thankful for them for helping my pets when they need it. Dr Stokes is by far the most kind and caring vet I've ever had my pets seen by and I won't bring them anywhere else

Everyone at this clinic is lovely. Reception and veterinarians are exceptional. Have been going there for around 8 years now and will continue to do so.

Didn't push surgery or expensive invasive procedures (such as teeth extraction) that other vets advocated.

I have been taking my cats to Dr. Stokes for the last 7 years. He is professional and caring and common sense. His staff reflect the same attitude and are always helpful and direct.Best vet experience in a long time keeps us returning
