Cake Your Way

I ordered a cake for my daughters 21st birthday and i was pleased with it.The process was easy and i sent pictures for what i'd like the end result to be. The pick up was easy also. I got red velvet and it was yummy.I was happy with my cake. :)

Buy BOX CAKE instead- I picked up my cake yesterday for my birthday party, the cake looked beautiful but unfortunately the taste and consistency was absolutely disappointing, i was embarrassed because none of my guests finished their cake or touched their slices after the first bite.. extremely sugary, dry, and low quality cake for a $100.I am disappointed because I paid $100 and drove to Vaughan to pick up the cake just for me to have to throw it out and be embarrassed on my birthday party..it was just made poorly and I would’ve loved for whoever made it to try it because I assure you they wouldn’t be happy selling it to someone.I’m sorry but I would’ve been better off getting a cake from the grocery store. Like I said, design wise it was great for the picture and looked clean and cute, but a cake is made to be eaten not just for how it looks.Its funny they offered me 50% off my next order from them, i wonder why they would think i would ever order from them again.. i was embarrassed on my birthday, my very special day.

I’ve been ordering custom cakes for about 9 years now. From everywhere I’ve ever ordered from I’d say this company so far is the most consistent and professional. My kids LOVE seeing their cakes made from cake your way. The cakes are moist, not too sweet, and look great. Typically I choose a specific theme and let the cake artist pretty much go freestyle on it with their own creative style. I do send a couple cake pictures for reference but I enjoy when bakers use their own creativity to create the best cakes possible. Adding too many details or specifics when ordering cakes usually makes it harder for an artist to create authentic looking cakes. I would suggest if you would want actual toys placed on the cake to mention that in your description otherwise it’s usually a print out on fondant. I usually get a fast response from the company when ordering a cake. Also because of high demand, supplies needed etc. I like to place orders 2-3 weeks prior. Don’t expect something miraculous if you’re ordering within a week because that’s too rushed for anyone to do. Even though I did have a rush order from cake your way it did still turn out amazing.

Highly disappointed. The cake was ugly and started melting before I even got home. I live in Florida and was very excited to order from this company but I was really disappointed with the cake. I was hoping that the cake would at least taste good but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary.

DISAPPOINTED! I recently purchased a cake from this place. They have decent customer service and the cake was very nice looking BUT my party people did not even finish the cake. It was dry, and it was most definitely box cake from the grocery store. It looks like they focus more on how it looks and not how it taste. I love supporting small businesses but that was a complete waste of my money. I actually heard from other people that they use box cake but I never judge until I try for myself. They were right. I won’t be ordering from there again! Sorry.

Cake looked exactly like the reference photos I provided, and tasted great! Only downside for me was the location but if you live in the area and are in need of a cake definitely check this place out!

I wish I could give less than 1 star, they took $300 of my money I was supposed to get a 2 tier cake, first they never responded to my PAID ORDER I had to reach out to the business more than a week later… Then as if that wasn’t a red flag already… they gave me a cake I DIDNT WANT. It looked nothing like the VERBAL instructions I gave them Via phone 2 months prior to me needing the cake. the details looked like they were done by my 4 year old and when it came time to pick up the cake I advised them my friend would be picking up the cake they gave him a run around which resulted in me having to go pick up the cake, when I picked up the cake the girl put it in my car when I looked over it was tipped and was ruined I was told to wait an extra 3 hours after my pick up time and when they were finished fixing the cake they destroyed I’d have to pay for the Uber to get the cake to me as I came from NIAGARA… if that wasn’t bad enough they are now refusing to give me a refund so my money was COMPLETELY wasted I never even received the cake and I never even got to try what my $300 paid for. Definitely the WORST place I’ve ever been.

Buy a BOX CAKE from the grocery store instead; I guarantee you it will taste better than the one you get from this place. There is no option for zero stars, or I would have picked that.We ordered from this place based on the positive reviews we saw on Google. Although there were mixed reviews, we decided to try them anyway. We drove an hour from Oakville to pick up this cake and were looking forward to it. The design was fine, but the taste and texture of the cake were hooooorible. When you pay $300 for a cake, you hope it will be edible. It was embarrassing to watch my guests take a first bite and slowly make their way to the garbage to toss it. Some tried to be polite and took a few more bites, but no one finished their pieces!!!!! Extremely sugary, dry, and low-quality cake.I felt bad because that was the only dessert we had for the guests - we didn't think we needed a backup plan.I am not seeking a defensive response from this store; I am writing this review for those who have not purchased from this place and are trying to decide if they should order from them - like myself a few weeks ago. There are other options out there (including your local bakery or grocery stores). I hope you consider the negative reviews carefully to avoid embarrassment at your party.

I was extremely disappointed by the cake we ordered from Cake Your Way. First off, the look - let's face it, you typically order a custom cake because you need a certain look/design. Although I asked them to call me if they could not replicate the cake on the picture I sent them, they modified the cake without letting us know. To clarify, there was absolutely NO communication at all other than an email confirmation that my order was received. When checking the status of the order, it was showing in progress"; which does not necessary mean that my order was confirmed. This caused unnecessary anxiety when you are preparing for a party. I will share that my 3-year-old niece did love the look of her cake; so I was relieved.As to the taste
