Unfortunately, I had several issues with the trade name registration completed for me by Business Alberta, leaving me with a low opinion of their operation. They failed to meet their own timelines and deliberately misrepresented the requirements for tradename registration, allowing them to charge me for an additional service that wasn't required. After several follow ups (more than two weeks) with no response, I was forced to file a dispute with my credit card company.Unfortunately, I didn't do enough research before selecting a company to register my trade name. There are other options out there that do the same work, for less cost and in a more transparent manner. I recommend you consider one of them instead.
