I've had a great experience with Aurora Aviation Academy. Highly recommended.

I am a student at Aurora Aviation Academy at Vernon and I would not recommend anyone to enroll at this institute. This review is not in reference to any of the instructors at the institute. It is for the management. I want to share my bad experience at this flight school.Since starting at Arora Aviation Academy (Vernon), I have spent over $6000 and since starting my Flight Instructor Training at on February 9th 2023, I am no closer to completing my training. I am owed $2,304.38. I wanted my account closed and all money transferred as I did not wish to continue my training in Aurora Aviation Academy (Vernon). For getting my money back from the school account I tried contacting different people at the school as it is difficult to get a hold of anyone, because no one answers my calls at the reception. In order to speak to somebody, I have to drive from Salmon Arm to the school to discuss any issues, a round trip of 1.5 hours each time I need to talk to someone, costing me a significant amount of time and money in gas. I have visited the school in hopes to talk with someone at least 4 times till now. On May 17th I was lucky to find Bethany who wrote an email about my problem and asked for a refund as I did not wish to continue my course. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. Especially from the lack of consideration and communication from the school as a whole. So, far you only the Chief Flight Instructor (Steven Harvey) is the only person at the school who has been polite enough to listen to the issues that I faced and continue to face.

Aurora is a great flight school. My primary instructor, Aaron, has been great to work with and incredibly accommodating around my schedule. All other instructor's I have interacted with have been great as well. Sylvan, the manager of the show appears to have built a school that cares deeply about ensuring their students succeed.

Had a awesome time. Kim was great showing us all around. Would go again for a flight.

Transfered to Aurora alittle over a year ago from a previous flight school that costed way too much and was a horrible experiance all around.Aurora put so much attention on me to help me finish my PPL in just a few months of joining. They helped me enjoy flying again with every instructor being more than friendly and always willing to talk even on their time off. You will find great friendships and amazing connections, I am happy and proud to say I am a student here and am looking forward to flying with them for years to come.

I'm learning to fly planes with Kim at Aurora Aviation. I couldn't give a bad review if I tried. She is awesome, very clear and professional, but keeps it fun. Love it!!

Waiting for a $4500.00 refund since March 2023. In March I reached out and got a response from Bethany. She had it all sorted out in an email but needed the approval from CEO to issue refund. Couple weeks later reached out in an email to follow up to see where my refund was and Bethanys email kicked back saying no longer valid. After multiple attempts and still no response via email, I called from a different phone number and CEO answered and when questioned, he said Bethany was no longer with the company and turnover has been an issue. When asked about the refund, he didnt know how to do a refund but will get it done that day.. (Mid April) now just ghosting me since then. I just wanted some communication but got nothing. Seems to me like some money management issues... Good luck, instructors, and you deserve better.

All of the instructors and staff are great! Steve has done most of my instruction and he is very knowledgeable and a great teacher. I have also flown with Felix, Grant and Brooke and they are all awesome. The new maintenance department is also great, we used them for our last annual and were very happy with the service. I would recommend Aurora to anyone.
