The best Thai food in the city from Chef Angus An. Lunch is a treat as there is a variety of ever-changing dishes that come with soup, salad and rice. We had the green curry halibut withfragrant green curry, local sturgeon, sweet peppers, Thai eggplant, holy & Thai basil and the prawn stir-fry with long beans, sweet peppers, Thai basil, and fried garlic. Their wine list is excellent should you desire a good pairing.

Wow !! What can I say? Food was absolutely phenomenal, the snacks at the beginning were small but we're packed with punches of flavour!! We had a reservation and did the tasting menu about $80 a person and we definitely left with full bellies! My aunt was visiting from out of town and she was absolutely blown away! Street parking on 4th was expensive so try and find parking in the residential areas!

We had a wonderful dining experience. The flavors were incredible and the staff were very attentive. We had the price-fixed menu with the wine pairing and it was amazing! Extremely delightful and knowledgeable chef. Exquisite, artistic and delicious dishes with fresh ingredients prepared from scratch. Distinctive and well-balanced flavor and teste.Love Thai cup cake at first bit. usually I always let my camera eat first but this meal I enjoyed it so much completely forgot to shoot photosWine pairing both options (BC & French flight )are prefect pair with food and dessert I ordered them twice as perfect match !Highly recommended

An excellent spot for enjoying Thai cuisine, offering a delightful and reasonably priced dining experience. The quality of the food is exceptional, particularly the dumplings, vegetarian green curry, and coconut soup, which we found to be incredibly delicious. Similar to many establishments in Vancouver, this place caters to a diverse range of dietary preferences, ensuring that even vegans have at least one suitable choice. Additionally, their happy hour drinks are highly enjoyable. One aspect that stood out to us was the variety of options available on the menu. Whether you were a meat lover, a vegetarian, or a vegan, there were numerous choices to suit every palate. It was refreshing to see a restaurant that prioritized inclusivity and catered to different dietary needs without compromising on taste or quality.During our visit, we decided to explore the happy hour offerings, and we were not disappointed. The selection of drinks was impressive, with a range of creative and well-crafted cocktails, along with other beverage options. It was a fantastic opportunity to try something new and indulge in refreshing concoctions that complemented the flavors of the food perfectly.

Maenam has great reviews and I hadn’t gone for a while, so I used Dineout as an excuse to come back. Their dineout menu isn’t the typical 3 course: appetizer, entree, dessert, it’s made to share and because of that, there’s more variety. There were some dishes that were standard, while others stood out to me. The Hot and Sour Soup was quite standard, good amount of seafood in it though and a great way to start your meal. I will say I expected more Salad from the Fried Squid Salad, but it was literally just Fried Squid. I didn’t even think it was that good and would personally order a different salad.Highlights was definitely the Duck and Lingcod. The Duck Leg Curry was full of flavour, which balanced well with rice. I thought the Confit was a great call because the meat so fall off the bone tender, yet it wasn’t a heavy or oily dish. As for the Lingcod, I think it was shallow fried to have the skin nice and crispy. I also appreciated the fact that this dish had the most veggies and the flavour was on point. It was my favourite dish. The Bua Loy was also very good - it’s a dish if you like that QQ texture or just chewy mochi type balls in general. They used what tasted like a savory coconut milk, so it wasn’t too sweet at all and very light. As for the Cashew Mor Kaeng, I wasn’t really a fan, purely because I don’t really like custard desserts, but my friends liked it.Overall, I had a great experience here. I like how it’s quite a cozy intimate vibe that also offers good service. Food was generally good and I think dineout makes it worth a visit.

We’ve always enjoyed this place for their delicious Thai cuisine with a modern West coast twist! The restaurant itself is beautifully designed and furnished; and the presentation of their dishes match their elevated cafe-style dining room. Yes, items found on their menu definitely are priced higher than your average Thai restaurant, however; you could definitely taste the freshness and the quality of their seasonal ingredients. For example, their green papaya salad served over a whole grilled local sweet corn—smart flavours and super tasty! They also have a good selection of cocktails and drinks too. The overall experience for me has been very pleasant! Would most recommend this place for dates!

Note that Maenam only does tasting menu if you reserve. This was not clear on their website or during reservations, even if you read it now, it doesn't say a la carte is only available for walk ins.Besides that the food overall was good but nothing wow'd us which I was expecting for a Micheline guide recommended restaurant.$88pp for 4 courses ( menu said for an overall 11 dishes - FYI the appies were 4 hours derve sized bites which accounted for 4 dishes)Appies - 4/5, loved all of them but nothing over the top specialBison Salad- 0/5 it was soo salty it tasted bitterHalibut coconut sour soup - 2/5Didn't quite give us the kick expectedIt jusy tasted like a coconut brothThey offered us the shrimp salad after which we enjoyed ,the shrimp was definitely undercooked, you can still see the raw center but I trust that it's sashimi grade and ate Nothing special ( taste more like a Viet dish) 3/5Sablefish curry - 5/5 fish was cooked perfectly, more very flavourful and perfect with ricePork belly pad cha - 3/5 good but nothing specialDesert- Hazelnut cake and coconut jelly 2/5Hazlenut cake got soggy from the sauce but I loved the brulee on topCoconut jelly was super dense, I think they might have used too much agar agar, but it wasn't too sweet and had a lot of ( what felt like) fresh coconut meat.Overall a good dining experience but missed the mark for us on many things. We probably won't be back. For comparison, we really enjoy Sawasdee for Thai food, taste is on point and authentic but obv they're atmosphere and plating is not compatible.A little dissapointed since we had high hopes

Really good drinks and delicious curry! All the material they use were fresh and done right The use of spices gave depth to their dishes without overpowering the flavour. Would love to come back for dinner!
