Jo-Anna's Bakery and Cafe
Delicious, home-baked cakes and great coffee with a free refill. Very friendly owner and staff. The café also serves soups, but we haven't tried any.

Jo-Anna's bakery in Thessalon is a jewel, just off the highway. Do yourself a favour and stop in for a coffee and one of her unbelievable breakfast sandwiches. She is open at 6:00am. Who is open at 6:00am? Jo-anna is!!! Her baked goods are top shelf! Trust me its worth a quick dip into Thessalon, even just to grab a coffee and a sticky bun and the prices are awesome too.

The service is quick. Soup and sandwiches was good. The pastry is fantastic and if you are planning an event you can have them prepare cakes pies cookies cinnamon buns etc. And promise you won't be dissapointed in quality of the food

Expecting a few sweets typical of a cafe, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Jo-Anna's is indeed a bakery, with loaves of bread on shelves next to the cash along with a selection, albeit small, of classic baked goods like butter tarts and squares.-- Mimi's Cake Tour""

Fantastic baked goods but you have to get there early before it's gone. Jo-anna features fresh baked bread and the absolute best coffee in town. Breakfast and lunch is served in a small eclectic dining room. Go here if you find yourself in Thessalon.

Jo-Anna's Bakery and Cafe
This place signifies the calmness and serenity at it's best. I love the way the bistro has been decorated with different baking appliances, in turn adding beauty to the ambiance! Unfortunately, Jo-Anna was away, but we were warm-welcomed by her friend! I hope to see them in future again. I would highly recommend the Cafe!

Great staff with an excellent selection of baked goods and lunch options. Jo-Anna's makes one of the (if not the) best butter tarts on the North Channel.

Ok, I have to say best butter tarts eveeeeeer ...I was in thessalon 4 days, stopped at Jo Anna’s 3 times , half dozen butter tarts each time.Place is clean, service is good. Very friendly. Great price.Please open shop in Toronto :)

Passed through Thessalon twice this fall. Joanne’s was great for good coffee, an early morning breakfast and a lunch to go. Best discovery on our return was the butter tarts.Excellent pastry and a not too sweet filling. Took a half dozen to share with friends.We tried several highly rated butter tarts on this trip and these were among the best.Hospitable staff in a homey relaxed setting.
