The guys saved me in the middle of the night, fixed my truck. Straight forward , honest work. The mechanic who came was very polite and professional, repairing only what was necessary to get me going again.

While driving down Highway 14 on the way to the Swartz Bay ferry the morning of August 17th, we were alerted that our right rear trailer brake light was not functioning. We were close enough to the terminal to proceed without incident. On board the ferry, we found that the 7-way electrical connector cable between the truck and trailer had been crushed during our morning driveway maneuvering. We used electrical tape to cover the bare wires that were showing in hopes that would suffice. It did not.As we left the ferry at Tsawwassen, the trailer brakes locked and we drove to the first available highway pullout with clouds of smoke billowing behind us. As we found out later, taping the 7-way cable had further jammed the wires together, causing the trailer brakes to lock and blowing three vital fuses in our truck’s fuse box.We phoned our RV roadside assistance carrier, and after being placed on hold and redirected to different departments multiple times, they told us they could send help 6 hours later or the following day. Not good news as we and our three dogs baked in the 35 degree sun alongside the crowded highway!Fortunately, a very good Samaritan who had witnessed our entry to the pullout area approached and asked if we’d lost our brakes. He turned out to be a maintenance man for BC Ferries and asked if he could help. And did he ever! One hour later, we limped (with our truck and trailer not completely repaired but functional) into a mall parking lot, searched the internet for a mobile repair service, and called Absolute Truck and Trailer.Within 45 minutes, two young men from Absolute arrived in their “big orange truck” and surveyed the situation. Little more than an hour later, they had replaced the truck fuses and done a thorough and professional job of re-splicing and covering the wires in the 7-way cable. The repairmen were quite friendly and efficient. Their work was exceptional quality, with the 7-way functioning as well or better than new. The charge for their services pleasantly surprised us and we proceeded with confidence on our journey to the mountains of BC. Thank you Absolute!!!
