I have to say, this library is truly one of the nicest I’ve ever laid eyes on! We visited specifically to check out their rooftop garden, and let me tell you, it was worth every moment. The view of the city from up there was absolutely stunning, and it definitely lived up to our expectations. But that’s not all that impressed us. The library itself has a whopping nine floors, there’s no shortage of space to explore and find your perfect reading nook. They’ve thought of everything to make your visit comfortable and convenience, including plenty of cozy seating areas. Oh, and don’t worry about staying hydrated because they even have water fountains available for refilling your water bottle. It’s those little touches that really make a difference.

lovely experience. read the current day’s wall st journal and this week’s economist on the 7th floor. very busy but plenty of space for everyone. staff exceptionally helpful. architecture is great; the atrium/natural light seating w close by the open air stone wall is a very nice addition. vendors within the entrance area. great for residents and visitors alike.

Friendly, helpful staff. A multitude of areas for quiet or semi quiet study and reading. Meeting rooms for those who need to meet and a lovely 2 storey rooftop terrace with beautiful views of the city. Easy registration process.

Amazing library with a unique architecture and a huge selection of books. Located at the heart of downtown Vancouver with easy access to public transportation (10 mins walk to Granville and Stadium-Chinatown expo lines). The rooftop patio is a great place to read and relax in summer. The lineup for popular books can get very long though.

Very nice place. Many computers with internet access and very organized. If you want an outlet to charge your phone you also can find it, they are built in every reading table. Beautiful architecture inside and out. It reminds me the coliseum.

Brilliant public library. No card needed to get in - simply walk in and find a seat. The library is warm, with free wifi and a great range of resources. There is plenty of space to work (with many power outlets), but it’s worth arriving relatively early if you want one of the best seats. In the library foyer, there are several small cafes, so it’s east to stay grab a coffee.

Take a trip to the roof garden for a scenic view of Vancouver skyline. Have a coffee in the piazza or take a break . Worth a visit

Amazing library for kids. They have a boardgame section. My 3.5 year old loved picking boardgames and asking the admin to swap the empty boxes for the actual games. We spent 2 hours playing around 7-10 games… lost count. They have an all kids French section as well. Very comfortable surroundings. Feels safe.
