Hotel Civilia Lakeside

The rooms were clean, a decent size, and a newer tv in the room. Customer service was fantastic, the owner and Sig and Tony were awesome. The wifi however barely works. Once everyone is home from work the wifi doesn’t work at all. Some of us have work to do and need wifi, it’s 2022 and it’s really time you fixed your wifi it will result in repeat customers. Most people these days won’t return somewhere if the internet didn’t work. The tv in the room has the option for apps like Netflix/prime videos/YouTube but what’s the point in having a tv capable of this if the wifi doesn’t work?

We were passing through town. Stopped by the motel and spoke with Yutki! She was so welcoming and helpful! We will definitely stay again!

Nice to have a view of the lake from out room. Nice little beach area and nice lawn area if you had kids needing to blow off steam. It's too bad there's as much road noise but you don't hear it from inside the room. You can tell it's older and a little tired. Nice little 2 burner cooktop and fridge so it made a great little home base for our vacation.

We stayed here in mid-July 2022 and found our room very clean and the owners friendly, although somewhat overwhelmed due to the lack of staff. We were asked to wait until about 3:20 to check in, but the owner brought us chairs so we could sit in the lobby where it was cool. Nice backyard area in which to sit and enjoy the view over the lake... if the mosquitoes aren't too bad. :-)

We have always stayed in this motel when travelling to Clearwater and very much enjoyed our stays! This trip, upon checkin, I realized there are new owners. Check in went very smooth. Once into the room we saw there were renovations since we last were there. Looked very nice at first glance. We started unpacking and quickly saw the room needed a bit more cleaning. Went downstairs to talk to the check in person. To make a very long story short, we had to ask 3 separate times for a cleaner to come in and do the job properly. After 3 cleanings and showing the owner pictures of what was not cleaned it never was done satisfactory! We couldn’t move to another room because the motel was fully booked. We will not be staying here again. Also cancelled our reservation for this coming weekend . VERY disappointing.

This motel was the perfect stay when travelling through town during the winter. It has a separate bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, with a sliding door and patio off the bedroom overlooking the lake and the forest. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave and stove-everything you need. I was very happy during my short stay here.

Room was absolutely freezing upon arrival. So insanely cold. The small heater provided couldn't even bring the room to a comfortable temperature after running all night. Beautiful room. Pretty good service very accommodating. Overall pretty good experience.

Room was spacious. No kettle. Washing machine and dryer available at CAD2 each. Free parking in vicinity. There was wifi but couldn’t connect most of the time. Different sizes of spiders found in the room and on the bed. Not recommended unless you have no choice.
