This is a wonderful facility with friendly and compassionate staff to take care of the cancer patients, my wife was unlucky to get cancer but very lucky to get treated here, Doctor Gloria Roldan is very quick to respond to our call for my wife’s pain and quickly arranged to do a series diagnosis then give out a treatment plan, right after seeing her, new medication starts working, my wife suffering situation gets a lot better, all the nurse and staff , included the pharmacist is very nice and helpful, the front receptionist Ms. Satima is very patient and help to arrange all the treatment schedule, thank you for all the stuff working in the Tom baker cancer center.

The care, (if you got fully taken care of) was good until you went home. I was ignored when I called , I was told by my oncologist she could only give me Tylenol 3 for my excruciating pain,so NO pain management.14 ambulance rides to emergency for pain, after every chemo appointment for 9 days after EVERY SINGLE chemo we’re ignored. They didn’t even care that this could be a side affect for someone like me. Side affects are known by people having them but I was ignored. I had a rare cancer with quick side effects and they did nothing to help my pain.I like my oncologist but her and anyone in the room with her spoke to me like I knew Latin medical terminology and quickly left and then that was the end of my appointment. It felt very impersonal. I am now thankfully in remission and supposed to be seen every 3 weeks with blood work for 5 years and also been waiting about 6 months for ultrasound results but haven’t heard anything. , I hope more of these are positive experiences then mine. All the best to anyone reading this.Make noise if your not heard!!

This place is a great example of how terrible our health care system is. This hospital is full of incompetent doctors and has a management team that does absolutely nothing but collect a cheque. Good luck to anyone that needs to go there. Love to them and their families

The place is good and has nice and comforting people all around. But what use is all of that if patient is left to die.My wife was being treated here for breast cancer with radiation therapy and oral chemo after surgery was completed in Ontario. My wife had the following symptoms of persistent cough, breathlessness and rapid heart rate as early as Sep/Oct 2021 but no imaging was ever prescribed until in Jan 2022 she developed pain and had to go to ER. At this point she had severe metastasis to liver, lungs and peritoneum. She survived only 2 months since this diagnosis and passed away on 20th March 2022.If imaging had been done earlier, she could probably have lived for a few more years. Now myself and my kids aged 2 and 7 are left alone without our guardian angel.Seeing my beloved wife's hopes shattered and her health worsening every week to only last two months is heartbreaking beyond words.

Dr. Pamela Chu and Dr. Greg Nelson do not understand what informed consent is, or they simply do not care. They are by far the worst and most uncaring doctors I've ever encountered and are in dire need of trauma informed care training. These people mutilated my body with repeated unnecessary procedures that left me with permanent pain. The attitudes of the nurses toward my complaints contributed to the PTSD that I still suffer with to this day and I will never fully trust healthcare professionals again because of them. They're sorry that I feel that way."I feel as though I was treated like nothing more than a lab animal or petri dish specimen during my time under their care. Your tissues and lab tests will be used in research without consent. I would rather die of cancer than trust the gynecological oncology staff at the foothills with my care after my experiences here."

Hi. I wanted to say how grateful I am to Dr. Nelson for performing my surgery. My surgery was performed on the 13th, I was let out of the hospital on the 15th and I am happily home and starting on my path to recovery. I am very thankful that he performed my surgery as the movement and mobility is easy with the incision. I am walking constantly and hoping that I’ll be recovered enough in 8 to 10 weeks to be able to get on my ski touring skis and hopefully get on the great divide by this summer. The hospital stay was nice and the nurses were very helpful and understanding. Thanks again Dr. Nelson. You have done so much!

My mother was diagnosed in Aug/2020 with Stage 2 Lung Cancer and by the time Tom Baker actually contacted her to set a meeting it was Oct and had then advised she has Stage 4. Absolutely disgusted with the level of care she received while being under their care. She took a very bad fall while being under their care to which they couldn't explain and was having life threatening side affects from the treatment she was given for the cancer to which instead of treating those symptoms they treated her like a Covid patient giving her test after test even though all came back negative and I was told that there was nothing they could do and to let nature take its course! She passed suddenly and very unexpectedly and I will never have anything to do with that Hospital again nor would I recommend any of my family or friends there. My mom would still be here with me today by side if she was properly cared for. Yes she had stage 4 Cancer however they repeatedly told me all her scans looked good and there is no imminent risk of death, she died 2 weeks later. Who knows how much longer we would have had if she had been properly treated instead I am left planning her funeral and to explain to my six year old daughter her Grandma is no longer here.. Tom Baker has completely failed my family and I will never forgive them.

On January of 2011, my brother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Through aggressive therapy and eventually a stem cell transplant, my brother remains cancer free. The doctors saved his life. Eternally thankful.

No aftercare offered. Begged for surgery to help have bowel movements more than once a month. Permanently damaged kidney, need a stent exchange every 4 months. Cancer came back in 2014. One chemo drug left me with severe neuropathy. No circulation and very little feeling. Feels like my feet are barefoot standing on ice. Because of the inability to walk properly, fell on cement. Needed 2 knee replacements. 4 surgeries on right knee, one for the left. Had cervical cancer. Whenever I have a CT scan they always comment about me having a hysterectomy. Never did, but I have nothing of my reproduction organs are all gone. Usually vomit at least once a day, sometimes will last for 10 to 15 hours. Then it's a trip to emerg to manage my pain.
