$9 for 1 mango. $4 for green onions. $6 for basic bread??? There's nothing thrifty about those prices. Go to Walmart

Stock is pretty good, service is pretty good (except the deli, they seem miserable. Definitely a management issue). I can’t really get past the fact that they pre-cut a lot of the meat in the deli and just leave it sitting there in the refrigerated display case. It defeats the point of buying meat from a deli. It gets dry and hard, and the turkey I got last time was almost inedible. I imagine this was thought of to save time slicing meat for customers, but it destroys the food. I won’t buy meat from the deli here until they stop doing this, because I’m always scared she’s just going to grab some of the hard, oxidized and discoloured fridge meat. I will often walk twice as far to go to the Thrifty’s on Quadra and Mackenzie, just because they actually cut the meat fresh for you, like a deli is supposed to.

Tragic they replaced the rewards system with scene points. Can you name a more gouge-y industry than cinema? Spend $1000, get $10 off. Unless you buy stuff you don't want for an extra $1 in points.

I love shopping here to get my AirMile points. And we got a birthday cake there. They actually wrote Happy Birthday and the name on it for us, and we got the candles there too. I think they were free with the cake. It was a very nice moist cake. Just a little too sweet on the icing for me. I'm going to try the Black Forest next time.

Great store, my only complaint is for Jeanette, the cashier. Just the worst cashier I've ever met. She was cold and not friendly at all. Needs to be trained again on how to talk like a human, or be replaced by someone better

Love this place get good rewards for air miles and good customer service too very friendly and helpful and good quality deli best chowmein I’ve had in the city even better then any restaurants in town no joke when they do have it in the deli that is and the lemon chicken is great too go with it and also they have a stamp program they have been putting on the last like 3 or 4 years that gets your very high quality kitchenware when you save up enough stamps too trade in for a price deduction or enough to get something for free and that something is same quality or better then some Henkel stuff I’ve seen so ya go check them out . Maybe the more business they get they might stay open 24 hours again like before Covid came about but that’s probably a pipe dream

Thrifty foods has a new loyalty card now that replaces Airmiles called Scene. It seems to work like the the Save on Foods More card as the prices on some specials on sale can only be discounted if you have a Scene card. It seems a bit unfair to shoppers who are loyal to Thriftys but do not want to use the card.
