Gigi's Hotdogs

First time at GIGIS the owner there is so wonderful! I'm happy I drove from milton craving a hot dog. Not to mention the food was YUM!

The owner was friendly, and made sure we had a good time. I ordered a spicy sausage combo. The sausage had a nice flavour and snap to it. Good range of condiments as well.

Food and conversation was amazing. Plus they have halal options too.

I was here to pick up Bubble Tea at I Heart Boba and it was around lunch time. So I Googled places to eat around me in this mall. I thought that I had covered the mall pretty much.But Lo and Behold, I come across a review for this classic hotdog / sausage stand located in front of Canadian Tire. I must have walked by this place like a million times. It looks nostalgic and quaint.I reminded me of the street stands in NYC. After the lockdown, I cannot wait to travel again to the Big Apple .....all in due time.I decided to check it out. This is the ultimate example of a local mom & pop business. The hours are long and the work is hard to run a business and that is why I respect these hard working business owners.The owner is courteous and efficient. And he can carry a conversation with you while you wait. It is a nice refreshing touch.I was a bit famished after my 5KM jog so I went for:1) A Beef Kebab Wrap2) Sausage Dog3) Classic Hot DogThe kebab is well seasoned and the Tzatziki sauce was spot on.I mean for $7.00, it is a great deal. So don't expect it to have all the toppings that perhaps you may be used to. But then again, the simplicity works well with the taste. Less is more in my opinion.The sausage dog had the classic char marks and the aroma of a BBQ.There is a list of toppings located at the side of the stand. I got mine with regular mustard, sauerkraut and onions. The snap of the sausage along with the char conjures up memories of a traditional sausage dog on the go.The classic hot dog, what can I say. It tasted exactly the way it should. BBQ to perfection.I will return to check the consistency later on.Please treat yourself to some BBQ classics and let us all know what you think.This is a lead off triple into the alley in right field for me !!!

As a proud Middle Eastern , I am extremely critical of my cultures food thats sold here in Canada. However, I must say that Gigi’s place really knocked it outta the park with their Kebabs. It exquisite taste really shut down any doubts I had & gave me the home taste I’ve always wanted. The hotdogs are amazing too. Overall, great food for a great price. No complaints.

Absolutely awful. Order 2 hotdogs and 1 sausage, all well done. Each of them had a thick layer of over-boiled meat. It was basically rubber. Extremely inedible.

The owner was such a wonderful person, he even told us where the name came from.We paid $5 for a hotdog and it was absolutely delicious and he was very generous with his portion. Great quality.I was in doubt about the taste of the sausage but glad to say it was great..Will definitely come back.Thank you for the service

The owner is a very pleasant and sweet Turkish gentleman. They have halal beef kebabs and chicken and that is absolutely delicious. My father is visiting Canada and he absolutely loved those kebabs. So much so that he wanted to go again the next day to get some.

Went there with my brother and ordered two sausage hotdogs. Hotdogs were alright - a little on the salty side to be honest but still edible. The service was absolutely terrible. After ordering the two sausage dogs, we asked if we could add the fries to our order and the man working at the stand got visibly mad. He said “why didn’t you tell me at the start?!” We told him we were okay if the fries came out later than the hotdogs but we could hear him mumbling and probably talking poorly about us in his native tongue. After, he asked what drink we wanted but my brother said he didn’t want the combo and he again got very mad at us. He was very rude and unprofessional saying “I’m not a toy” even though we were being respectful the whole time. At the end, he tried making up for it by saying “I gave you extra fries” and “I think we had a misunderstanding”I used to come here very often with family but I am not going back again. Super rude, had very bad attitude, and very unprofessional. It ruined our good moods. Disappointing.
