I chose this restaurant after checking reviews, and it exceeded my expectations with its amazing foods, fantastic service and stunning view overseeing the harbor. We asked the waitress for meals suggestions. Her recommendations were perfect. We orderd the seafood linguini, 10oz dry aged NY strip and steakhouse chopped salad. Great portions to share. Even focaccia was well-made. We could not stop complimenting on the foods and the view. I and my friend tried to take it slow so that we could stay a bit longer :) The experience was great. Will come back for seafood chowder and so much more!!

Great food, excellent service, and an amazing view. The menu features some regular fare done to a high standard (seafood chowder, burgers, fish and chips, etc) and a great selection of unique items you probably haven't seen before (the millionaire meatloaf, butchers roll, katsu bowl to name a few). Portions were generous and the presentation was appealing. Oh, and don't miss out on the incredible Caesars!

It’s unfortunate that I have to write a bad review about my experience at this restaurant that had so much potential to be one of my favourite restaurants that I’ve ever been to. My husband and I had dinner here on April 4, 2023. The food was so delicious that we couldn’t wait to go back the next day. Later that evening, I was hit with the worst food poisoning I’ve ever had in my entire life because of their seafood pasta. It was so bad that my husband was debating on taking me to the hospital. My husband called the restaurant the next day to inform them and to see if there were any other reported incidents. The hostess who answered was kind and compassionate towards our situation, and told us that the manager was not in but that she would pass the message along so that we could speak to them directly. The next day, we decided to go back for dinner there anyways. I didn’t eat anything as I was still recovering, but my husband ate dinner as it was our last night in Cowichan Bay. The same hostess greeted and informed us that the manager still wasn’t in, but that we should expect a call from them in the coming days. We still have not heard back to this day (almost 4 weeks later). It’s quite disappointing that such a fine establishment would have terrible customer service. We love Cowichan Bay but we will certainly not come back to dine here ever again due to this.

Beautiful dishes! Incredible clam chowder, the volcano roll was still warm in all the right places, and the salad was delicious!! Views were spectacular as always. Was a little busy so we had to wait on our drinks and finished the meal before they came. But everything else was great!

Another wonderful family Christmas. Thank you for such a fun day. We have our annual Christmas party in there private room. You can't beat the Christmas tree and beautiful view, with the best food. Our waitress, Bennett did a fabulous job. Everything was great. Santa was there to get the party started.

Twas the 1st day of spring. After a brisk Sunday morning walk and a drive along our amazing West Coast shoreline , we ended up stopping in at the Cook & Butcher . Our friends always rave about it , so we had to try.We started with the famous Coast2Coast “Caesar lovers”cocktail . This gargantuan 3oz Vodka Caesar is topped with Lobster, scallops, prawns, and candied salmon ( even better because it was served with a p l a s t i c straw ! ) . Our appy was the Coastal crab dip , outstanding and lava hot . We shared the 2 piece Pacific Rim fish & chips, so perfectly fried. By this time we were so full , dessert was out of the question… said no one ever. So, ordered the “Death by Peanut Butter “ and vowed I…..would…. never…..eat…..again…..in…..my…..life.This was all great but….the real reason why we will return is … because of the Service . Our amazing server Bennett, was so kind and professional. We appreciate all the amazing staff who didn’t make this just an experience, but an Astounding experience . Oh , and the view is pretty good too !

Nice view of the marine, food was bland and my nashville chicken strips were over cooked. My Wife's Chicken Oscar dinner was cold and lacked flavour. For the price we paid we were expecting better quality. Will definitely never go there again!

Good meal in a lovely setting. Awesome view of Cowichan Bay. I had ribs, good amount and tasty. Came with a great side of vegetables. Hen & Hog burger was very good as well. Lots of nice drinks on the menu.
