I will start with the positive and then delve into what went wrong. Jesse took responsibility and gave me a fair deal on my final bill so I walked out of there about as happy as possible. Unfortunately they did a lot of work without keeping me properly informed. Any communication about the status of the repairs were initiated by me. Had I not called, I honestly don't think they would have called me. I repeatedly asked them for estimates of time and materials spent on my boat as it turned into a very large repair. I was told about how much parts were but never how much time it was taking. They kept stalling about the time until they sent me the bills when the work was already done.They have been in business a long time so you would think they have a fairly good idea how much time, on average, it takes to do certain tasks and they could have easily commented that the bill was running high for the kind and age of boat. The final bill came to almost as much money as I paid for the boat. It boiled down to communication and they failed miserably at that. Hopefully they will do a better job in the future keeping clients informed and I will be more diligent and direct about getting the information I need.

Outstanding customer service. We own Saskatchewans Best Boat Rentals, and any time we've needed repairs or parts for any of our boats, the staff have been nothing short of outstanding. If you want to be treated right by people who know what they're talking about, then this is where you go.

Thanks to Jesse and his crüe who replaced my old outboard motor with a new Tohatsu MS140. Great communication throughput the entire process. They are friendly, patient and honest. The guys here are straight forward and transparent. If you want to see what they are doing and why they will take you into the shop and let you discuss it with a mechanic or help inform you. I appreciate that they itemize the billing and go over everything until your satisfied. They come across as genuine and honest and that goes a long ways with me.

The owner charged me over retail for a used part that I needed and couldn't find else where. So, I bought it but left the store upset. The owner than follows me out to the parking lot and argues with me about why he charged me over retail. That was the nail in the coffin for me and why I felt compelled to write this review. Totally unprofessional. And like I asked him, is a couple of bucks really worth loosing a customer over?
