Went to decathlon for first time today with my kid. All i can say is wow. Did not know what to expect. They have a very unique concept, where they have all types of trial areas to try equipment and stuff. The areas are divided by sports. There were plenty of staff to assist in each section. Overall i found the prices fair and a huge selection of equipment.

Prices on the shelf and cash register does not match, then you complain about it and ask them to apply the price accuracy policy, cashier makes a face and calls the store manager ... customer's saying blah blah..." right next to you.Then store manager comes tells you they do not apply price accuracy policy on a 2.5$ shoe-lace and gives no apology for their mistake to ask 6$ for it.I could understand the labelling issues

Dear Decathlon,I am writing to you today to explain about a bad experience I had at the Brossard store on the 6th of Februrary of 2023 around 5:10PM EST. I was speaking with someone from the staff called Gabriel.I purchased a kayak, a pump and a paddle in May of 2022. It has been used once and has been kept ever since in it's bag. The set was in a flawless condition.Due to the ever lasting run of discovering new sports, I have moved on from it and have purchased several other items from your store. (my profile counts over 2000$ in spendings since 2021-2022.)I presented myself to the customer service desk asking if this could be returned.Gabriel took my kayak to the back of the store and confirmed to me 15 minutes later that my kayak was in amazing condition, that it looked all new.Gabriel went on to say that this was not a Rental Shop" and that "the business must make money". He mentioned that he could not refund my Visa for this reason and rather give me a gift card for the same amount.From what I read on your website

It is a great store with huge selection of products for an affordable price (good promotions too). The sports vibe in the store is nice as you can see people trying the bikes freely and equipments. If you have children, they will have a lot of fun riding bikes, scooters, skateboards and also jumping on trampolines. The staff is helpful and friendly. I didn't give 5 stars because some products are already out of stock and they take time to be replaced as they are imported. In general, good experience and for sure I will go back always when I need something.
