Very good place, nice sea food, even better beer (pale ale). They give the children pencils and drawings to paint, which I found a nice touch. Prices balanced to what any restaurant in Halifax costs. I would go back without any problem.

Really Nice ambiance. Beer is cold and really tasty. Food is really good too! I had the Fish n Chip un a Brown bag. Awesome dinner. Not the best, but really really good! The Blueberry beer is very good too. I'll come back!

Amazing changes to the waterfront! I haven’t been for over 5 plus years and this restaurant is an amazing addition next to the Scotiabank centre .Lady seating us was not very friendly but our waitress was amazing! Knowledgeable, friendly and had some nice suggestions .Great to people watch at a window seat, and lot to look at inside . Gluten free beer option and gluten free meal options .Great vibe with variety of people and close to walk everywhere in Scotiabank Centre area!We had amazing Crab Cakes made right, and fresh Mussels.. really nice Draft options also!

the server who served my table tried to do her best. The food is good and on time, always on the lookout for drinks. and he forgot to take all the dirty dishes. he did not offer dessert or anything extra.

My partner and I went for date night. I got the haddock tacos and my partner got the fried chicken sandwich. The food was incredible the in-home beer and cider was so good! We got to sit by the large window and the atmosphere and view was great. We will definitely be coming back for more meals and have told others how good the food and service is as well

Our server Tanner made our experience. From the moment we sat down, he had us laughing and feeling so welcome and ready to enjoy our dinner. I asked him about the daily dose, which was a spiked root beer. He promised me he's almost had to fight people because they didn't believe there was alcohol in it." He wasn't wrong!! He convinced us to get a pitcher. I have never enjoyed a pitcher more in my life! It wasn't over sugary and not flat like some. Highly recommend. Our food though

Our waitress was AMAZING!! I don't remember her name but she was short, blond hair and had lots of tattoos. She was very nice and joked with my friend and I. Service, food and drinks were great!!

I visited here for the first time recently. The food was pretty tasty. I ordered the chicken wings, pork belly tacos, spinach salad and cheesecake. The wings were crispy, but not that flavourful. The portion size was fairly small for the price. The tacos were delicious and the cheesecake was tasty, but pretty sweet for my tastes. My favourite thing I had was the spinach salad. It was sweet and tangy with lots of different textures from the goat cheese, walnuts, cranberries and onions. I found that the service was somewhat lacking. We weren't in a rush so it wasn't a big deal, but it did take over two hours for our appetizer, entree and dessert. I understand that it was busy when we visited, but our server was almost impossible to track down most of the time.

I came specifically for the house brewed alcoholic root beer. I live an hour from the city so choosing a place is a big deal to me as I don't get to dine in Halifax often. On this occasion they didn't have any root beer on tap. They had some in bottles but would not sell them to me because I was dining in. I'm sorry but this doesn't make sense to me. I'm a paying customer regardless of whether I'm eating in or out. I was incredibly disappointed as this was my only reason for choosing to dine there. The food was good. I had the bagged chicken and chips and it was spiced really well. My dining partner had the calamari and also enjoyed their meal. I hesitate to come back because of the poor service received on this occasion.

Disappointed in my visit to Gahan House. This restaurant was steps away from my hotel, and after my flight from Toronto, I was famished and wanting food ASAP. The restaurant itself was lovely, but I found my fish and chips to be over cooked, and far too battered on the fish. The appetizers were better but quite small..
