Francis bread is a tranquil, peaceful, beautiful place. It’s everything you could want in a cafe and so much more.I’ve never felt so happy just sitting in a garden drinking a coffee, it’s surrounded by beautiful nature and art and it’s on a delightful island.

Fantastic bread, some of the best the family has ever had!. Almost everyone I have brought bread from here has said exactly that. Today I purchased a baguette and an Olive and rosemary loaf.They also make amazing sandwiches

My goodness EVERYTHING they make at this bakery is INCREDIBLE! Having lived in France for 8 years (in addition to being a chef) I feel very confident when I say that this place blows every pastry experience I have ever had out of the water - BY MILES!This past weekend I ate a pain au raisins and a ham and cheese croissant...and then promptly burst into tears (of joy!) it was SO INSANELY GOOD! I was in heaven!Thank you, Francis Bread, for all the deliciousness you strive to create and put out into this world. Here's to another 5 year of successfully bringing me to tears every time I get over to Salt Spring and can enjoy the fruits of your passion and steady labour <3

While I wanted to try everything, I went with a savoury scone and it was nothing short of epic. Can’t wait to return and try more things

We came by on the right day, lucky we found it open. We got a loaf of bread, couple of sandwiches and the cinnamon swirls. They also make the best elderflower sparkling lemonade. Everything tasted really good. We loved the swirls, they are an absolute treat. Nice ambiance, outdoor seating, friendly service. Ideal for lunch on a sunny day.

Holy heckin heck this place is AMAZING! Incredible bread and pastries and the friendliest staff to boot! Worried they might run out of what you are looking for before you can get there? I’ve been to Salt Spring many times, how did I not know about this place?? Hands down best bakery/bread I’ve had on the island. Their croissants are amazing!! Only open Fri-Sun I think, but they do sell at the Tues night market in Ganges too. Recommend going to their shop though, because there’s them, along with 2 other yummy food shops in the same building.
