We went on Tuesday and there was a special deal for the oyster( $1/oyster). Tasted great and fresh. Also foods are delicious. Environment is good too.

A fun place, but really, you need to go with the right crowd. It can be quite hectic and loud inside, barely able to hear conversation at your own table over the music. Sadly we were sat at the awkward table next to the door; coming on a particularly windy day wasn't great. However, the good....The Brussels sprouts and the maki special are definitely a must try here. The in-house hot sauce that came with the oysters was also so addictive.

During my business trip to Vaughan last February, amidst the blowing snow, I had the pleasure of dining at Yokai Izakaya. This modern Japanese restaurant offers an exquisite take on Japanese cuisine. From the moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, providing the perfect escape from the wintry weather.The menu at Yokai Izakaya is a culinary delight. Each dish is beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's attention to detail.The service was impeccable, with attentive staff members who were knowledgeable about the menu and eager to assist. Despite being full, I couldn't resist trying more, which is a testament to the restaurant's exceptional quality.Yokai Izakaya is a must-visit for any food lover seeking a memorable dining experience. I'm already planning my next visit, eager to explore more of their enticing menu.

It was last minute and we managed to book the bar table for 2. Upon arrival, the lady in the front was very polite with great smile :). We sample quite a few grill food. Everything taste good except the chicken skewer. Bartender is very attentive and even made something off the menu for us. Taste amazing and definitely worth going back. Make sure you make reservation if you don’t want to wait.

I have had the pleasure of dining at Yokai Izakaya four times now, and each visit has been consistently amazing. My favourite dishes, the oysters and steak tartare, were fresh and delicious. But I have to say, I loved everything else I tried too - everything was top notch. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which added to the fantastic experience. Overall, Yokai Izakaya is a must-try for anyone looking for excellent food and service. I can't wait to visit again!

Wow what a perfect example of a Japanese Izakaya. The atmosphere is energizing, instantly setting the prescient for having a good time. Everything from the adventurous, yet approachable, ingredients in the food to the smallest of decor details was well thought out and precisely planned. There was a lot of love and attention put into this restaurant and it deserves to experienced first hand. (Pssst…Make sure to order the Sake Bombs and you’ll be in for a treat.)

The restaurant is very cool. I really the vibe here. It is energetic which can boost your mood and make the most of your Friday night. This is a good place to hang out with a group of friends. The server is very attentive too. Also, I am very impressed with the interior decoration, especially the washroom number 2. It brings you right to Japan. This is just not dining, this is an experience.

A perfect dining experience well deserving of 5 stars.We went as a party of 2 on a Saturday night at 10:00pm. I was able to make an opentable reservation the same day for a guaranteed table, but with the inside seating and patio open there seems to be adequate space.The food was fantastic, the short rib melts in your mouth & it’s a must try. My favourite are the wagyu sliders because of how convenient and tasty they are. The bun is soft, beef is juicy and flavour is definitely there. Unagi fries and maki roll were good aswell. Cocktail menu is quite good and I recommend the espresso martini as it was good here.Service was fantastic. Our server was Aiya (sorry if I spelt it wrong) and she did an amazing job. Very friendly, quick and made sure that we had the best experience that we could have.The atmosphere and decor look unique. The vibe is amazing as they have a live DJ with a great playlist, music can be a bit loud inside but outside it’s more timid. Choose accordingly to your preference.Overall an amazing experience at Yokai and we will be coming back :)
