W J Mouat Secondary

Graduating class of 1990. Managed to get an education and one of only 4 who made it to UBC that year. It was head-bangers and pregnant teens back then, as it is now. The staff were wonderful, and you got a decent education if you looked for it. The musical education was brilliant but I ended up as an engineer in the United Kingdom. Tuum est (it's up to you). Veri tas (know yourself).

One of your teachers named KYLA TAGGART is a moderator on a group called “are we dating the same guy? SF Bay Area.” Different country but whatever. They have allowed someone who has a restraining order on another to slander a man and even use sock accounts to back up the false allegation! After repeated attempts to inform them of this fact, they allow the post to stay up which has lead to consequences for that individual! We have enough problems with teachers being unethical these days as it is…I would look into this one!

Kids aren't controlled, litter every whereAt lunch these kids make the street look like a junk yard , they take N''s from vehicles and cuss up a storm . Mouat needs to teach there kids respect and integrity it's clearly flown out the window

Who do I complain too about these slow days ? I understand pro D days . but on slow days im stuck trying to get my child to school a bit later because she doesnt want to wait around for the extra hour until classes start. There has got to be a better solution.

One of the worst schools in Abbotsford. Staff are rude and unfair to students. I would not reccomend sending your child to this school. I would give 0 stars, if that was possible.

There are more reasons for a 1 star rating to this school than I'm willing to give. This place is just plain awful. Both during school hours and during school events I have personally seen students that appeared to be high, were in the process of getting high, or were bullying. I drop by here twice a week to to train on the fields beside WJ Mouat and at Rotary stadium and this seems to be a on going issue that I see each and every week for the past 3 years when I first started coming here for running. The biggest issue is the fact that there are so many kids in the area either at middle school, the preschool/kindergarten, the rec center, or playing on the public fields next to this school. There also seems to be a lack of traffic enforcement with many speeding student's in the area and I have even seen administration speeding during school hours. This would be a 0 star rating if that was possible. Hopefully these issues are resolved soon before some major incident occurs.

Some of the best years I've ever had in a school, Compass program has support workers that have been great through my time here. all the reviews about students being delinquents and what not are individual people with their own problems. Most teachers I have had were very kind, willing, and knowledgeable.Any new students coming in the next few years, take literally any sort of art class, take one every year, they work at any level and there's a wide variety. Seriously, do not worry about skill level they will walk you through every step and are always willing to listen to your questions, all any teacher here will want is you respect and attention; they don't even mind you using your phones or anything as long as you're done your work. If something isn't working out for you, they will help you to make it work, if it's either here or at home.Oh, there's also 3 vice principals now, and the grad cruise is a rip off, other than that it's fine, the vice principals I know nothing about just a detail I'm throwing in there.(Pic is of my line art made in Vinyl 11/12)

One of the worse schools in Abbotsford. After going to other secondary school within the district, Rick Hansen, Abby senior, etc. I don't understand why not many more kids are sent there. The environment feels cleaner there, its bigger, brighter and all around a nicer place to be.Some of the staffs at Mouat are unfair towards some students and i will go to say they are plain RUDE to students who don't deserve it. And it's very obvious to the point other students will start to notice.

Needs a rennovation. Fantastic sport, volunteer, leadership, music, and academic opportunities for French and English Immersions. Fantastic school leadership and staff.
