Sushi Shop

Had miso soup, spring rolls, various rolls.Overall, the meal missed the mark. Whoever is making the sushi needs more practice. Many of the pieces were cut poorly and fell apart when picked up. Some of them were very flat as well. I attached a few photos to show the quality of the rolls. This isn't acceptable to be serving to customers.Flavorwise, the food was OK but there are still some major issues that need to be fixed. For example, sushi rice is supposed to be seasoned with salt, sugar, vinegar. The rice was completely bland so I'm not sure if any seasoning was used. The soy sauce they give you is also not good. It comes in a little sealed cup, and it tastes sweet. Thankfully I had some better soy sauce on hand. The wasabi paste was squeezed from a tube and it was formed into a little hard cylinder. It was tough to cut pieces off it. I am pretty sure the spring rolls come frozen and are reheated... would prefer to see those made fresh. The miso soup tasted very good.For the money spent, I wasn't very impressed. I've had better sushi packs from the grocery store! Hopefully the restaurant improves over time. I may revisit in the future and update my review if it improves.

Called and the phone was answered immediately. Ordered 50+ pieces, was told one hour, and it was ready to the minute when I arrived. Owner was very kind and welcoming.Prices are good and competitive. Quality is definitely better than AYCE or grocery store/mall sushi, but obviously not close to matching higher-end places.

Today I went to the Sushi Shop in 575 Vanier, suite 103 and I loved it. The service was excellent, super friendly staff and my salmon poke bowl was delicious. I dined in instead of takeout and have no regrets. Thank you!

Ordered online via the Sushi Shop website. The order is now over an our and a half overdue, with no update. The phone may as well not exist, as no one picks up.Edit: the delivery came 2 hours and 50 minutes after it was initially placed. We turned it away after we had already made, ate, and cleaned up some makeshift poke bowls, after already waiting an hour with no show.The best part is the face the driver made, as if we ushered some great insult. Now I don’t blame the driver, they’re with Doordash and not associated with the restaurant per se. I just found the reaction funny.Don’t order from here. Drive to the Sushi Shop in Hull. You’ll actually get to eat dinner.

Great client services; Presentation of sushi in container was awesome; took great care in prep and its quality. Gave us a nice bag too. Extra dipping sauces.Waited 20 to 30 mins for a big order, so that is very reasonable! Will be coming here again.

Amazing and friendly staff and very fast service. We love the food and the taro tea. Keep up the good service.

I don't understand the previous bad reviews Its a new place give them time to take their pace! As for my review ITS BEEN A WHILE that I've had some good like this... and fresh and NO WAIT. I will def. Be coming back .. seriously In all the restaurants at this location this one is the best as for price and what you get! So happy to have you guys closer! I've never been disappointed with a sushi shop franchises!!

This place is good, but so frustratingly inconsistent. I always order the Poke bowl Sunrise and each time it’s a little different. Salmon/rice quantity varies as does the freshness of the greens. Today, whoever made it, decided to add a spicy hot sauce which I didn’t care for. Hope they can get it together.

Very happy with the sushi at this place. Super fresh, everything is good, and service is great. We've been there twice in the last 2 weeks. Prices are in line or lower than the competition, but the quality is higher.

We deal with a Gluten allergy in the house (ceiliac). Went there, we were the only people there, they told us to wait 45m\1h for our order because they did not want to clean their tools before finishing online orders. I had even called before to make sure they could accomodate us. We drove back empty handed and HANgryToday, I order online with a note saying gluten allergy for half the order and the rest gluten ok please put in separate container". 1h30 after (it said 25-30min average wait time)
