Conor J. Brown Guitar, Piano and Music Production Lessons

I have been playing with Conor for about a year now.Conor is extremely knowledgeable and engaging. In our piano lessons he has helped me to become a more proficient and confident musician. Focusing on improvisation and jazz techniques he was able to tailor our lessons accordingly to my piano level and to meet my goals. In the past year my skill level and love for piano has grown immeasurably. Would highly recommend to any level musician!

I started taking lessons with Connor several months ago to improve my rhythm playing which I’m glad to say has improved drastically in a very short time. Connor is easy going and knows his stuff, but what impresses me most is that he’s very detail oriented. He’s corrected several aspects of my playing that I may have never found on my own. I’m still taking lessons from him and intend to continue into the future.

I decided to learn how to play the guitar late in life. I’ve been playing for about four years and I’ve had about five teachers. I was muddling along pretty well but was referred to Conor by a good friend of mine. Since Retaining his services my guitar playing has Drastically improved. Conor has single handedly elevated the quality of my guitar play threefold thanks to his skill and keen attention to detail. He is highly technically proficient and hears things other teachers just don’t hear. He’s so skilled he picks up things and corrects tiny but critically important bad habits I never knew I had . He is also a gentleman with a very kind and positive disposition. He is a pleasure to play with and learn from. I recommend him highly. Conor- thank you for everything. You are the BEST.

I've been getting guitar lessons from Conor for a little over a year. His explanations, advice and methods have been a huge help in my quest to learn guitar. Conor is patient (great for newbies like me) and does an excellent job breaking-down concepts into easily digestible chunks. Conor is a talented musician and a great guitar teacher. He is adaptable and a quick learner himself. He recognizes chord progression, notes and timing quickly with his ear which makes it great for students to learn the things they want to play, even if Conor may have never played these specific songs/genres before himself.

I've been working with Conor as my guitar teacher for almost 7 years now. His talent at dissecting and teaching me any song I wish to learn never ceases to amaze me, and his commitment to ensuring I consistently learn to play songs properly (without any cheating or short-cuts) has made me a much better player. He keeps me honest, pushes me to practice and improve, and has cured me of countless bad habits. Working with Conor is far, far superior to any learning apps, YouTube videos or guitar tabs I have come across. At this point, lessons with Conor are just synonymous with guitar for me, and I know there is always so much more to learn from him.

Conor is a great music teacher!I've been through the RCM program (Grade 10) and was teaching my two kids (aged 5 and 7) how to play piano and ukulele. I wanted to find a teacher who could teach kids proper technique and eliminate bad habits. Conor brought immediate added value (important tips for posture, finger/hand position, rhythm) that I would have never thought of.I think that Conor is great for setting up kids for long term music success, and importantly, he gets kids to enjoy the lessons!

Started learning classical guitar with Conor about 2 years ago and in that time he has brought me up to a grade 6 level using the RCM repertoire. He is a talented musician himself and is very good at accommodating different learning styles. I find (for me at least) he puts an emphasis on musicality when playing and not just getting through the notes. He gives a lot of attention to technique which is impossible to learn without a good teacher. His patience and non-punitive/non-judgmental manner helps me truly enjoy learning. Being a busy adult, I occasionally don't have enough time to practice, but Conor allows me to move at my own pace. As a small business owner, he is extremely responsive (ie when having to reschedule a lesson), organized and always on time to start the lesson. His music studio is neat and clean and is very quiet to allow for focus. I highly recommend him as a music teacher and perhaps I'll see you in passing one day!

I recently decided to give guitar a shot, and Conor made it easy to learn. I picked it up WAY faster than expected and after a few lessons I was already playing some of my favourite songs. I'm very happy with how the lessons have gone - would definitely recommend Conor to friends!

I took lessons with Conor for almost two years, specifically to learn jazz guitar. Conor is a patient teacher who understands what the student is trying to learn and helps them achieve that goal through nurturing and growing talent. I highly recommend Conor as a guitar teacher, whether you are a beginner or advanced. I went from a power chord rock guy to being able to solo over minor-seventh chords. I am very happy with my progress!
