This bakery is amazing. Staff are kind and friendly. German dessert selection is fabulous, breads are the best we’ve enjoyed in all of Muskoka and the variety is impressive. The muffins… oh my. Highly recommend!

An acquaintance raved to us about this bakery in Bracebridge so my husband and I popped up there this morning to check it out. I wanted to buy their Cranberry and Brie loaf bread which is pretty famous. Of course they were already sold out by the time we got there. A very young girl provided assistance and I was blown away by her customer service and exceptional product knowledge. The Big River Bakery will now become a regular stop on our trips to Bracebridge from Gravenhurst!

Two of the nicest people own this and Bobby has such great energy makes the place amazing. I love my breads and meats. It wouldn't matter what it cost I would still buy as the quality is incredible.

Visited for the first time today, and I am so glad I did. The baguette is - hands down - the best I have ever tasted. I can't wait to try the other breads I purchased. The staff was lovely as well. I will be back!

Beautiful little bakery in an amazing location! Been going to them for a couple months and they have amazing bread and fantastic service! The baguettes are great and we always get a loaf of the Italian Altmura.They also recently opened the butcher as well! Great looking meats. Had some ribeyes one night which were great.In this photo you can see the awesome loaves as well as a daily menu. I don’t know if it changes but they have had this daily menu for the last month or so.

The smell of freshly baked bread is like nothing else, and it definitely fills the air here. I had the most difficult time picking which loaf to get and settled on Cranberry Brie. It was so soft, with a beautiful crumb. My husband, myself and my toddler devoured half for lunch. I'm only in Bracebridge for a visit, but I'm definitely going to pick up another loaf or two to take home with me!The cashier was also really nice and offered my toddler a free cookie on the house, which made his morning!

We moved to Bracebridge at the end of January. I have one of those ornamental mailboxes at our front door. A few days after we moved in my husband had gone to the stores and when he came back he had a loaf of bread in his hands and a card that had been put in our mailbox. What a lovely gesture from Stu, Rebecca and family…… a beautiful loaf of bread with a beautiful card Welcoming us to the neighbourhood. My husband and I were in awe at their.kindness and the bread was to die for. Thanks to Stu and his family we are now hooked on the beautiful bread at your store. Ishbel and Ronnie….
