Greater Heights Learning Academy

My son has been attending GHLA for a couple years now. I cannot be more impressed with the school. Any parent with a child that has learning challenges knows how isolated and anxious you can feel sending your child to school; always uncertain how they're being treated and if their needs are being met. Let me just say, all that anxiety goes away at GHLA. I recommend it to every parent I come across and am so grateful to have found it myself.The bonus aspect for me is that the physio, speech and OT are all built into the curriculum (including having on site specialty rooms to practice) so that saves you the time after school going privately. It really is amazing.

This is a great school for me and my learning needs. Everyone is helpful . The SEA staff on the playgrounds really help us cause there are so many staff on the playground and I feel safe here! The teachers help too and make it individual and it is calmer here so I can learn.I like the therapists and they help me work on my stuff. Thanks you GHLA!

So sad to see that my old school is not Burquitlam elementary anymore, attended this school from grade 5-7, will always have fond memories of Mr.Halstead & Mr.Robertson, when the brand new wood jungle gym was erected & working in the office during lunch. Oh the memories! (1986-1989)

I sent my son to this school when it was Mediated Learning Academy. It was $10,000 at that time, what a waste of money. Variety really pushed this on parents that had children with learning disabilities, however not to the degree that was being taught there. My son lost one year of schooling because of being taught at such a low level. The Principal was useless and most of the teachers had their hands tied because of her. I know of four teachers quitting that year and numerous parents taking their children to other better private schools. Your response to my review should have been sorry you feel that way. Please don't say I am misinformed since this was my experience with your school. That is the whole idea of leaving reviews.

Words cannot express my gratitude for this school. My son hated attending public school. It was a nightmare just to get him to school. Now what a major difference he loves going to school most days and I’ve seen a lot of growth in just a few months. Would highly recommend this school for children with disabilities.
