Under The Sun Mechanical

I took my vehicle in to get new rear break pads and rotors I drove it for a few days there was a weird noise. I took my vehicle back they charged me to inspect the work they did, telling me there was oil on my break pads they just installed. I thought that’s weird would oil make them squeak!?!? I drove my vehicle noise kept getting louder I now find out my rotors need to be replaced and my break pads and they were actually metal on metal. I had 2 companies in grande prairie look at it and was told the same thing because I was thinking there was no way I just replaced them. I’m a woman and a single mother and I was ripped off so thanks under the sun!!!

I had a vehicle with 4 different issues to be fixed. The mechanic made a quote. We were happy with that and let him go ahead. Once all fixed, we went for inspection (which has to be done before registering a vehicle that comes from other province). It was found that one of the issues was not fixed. The mechanic from under the sun cheated me. Not trust worthy fellow Mr. Fred.

Told them I was getting a PCM code, they said it would be looked at first thing, didn’t get looked at till 3 and I had to call. all they did was hooked up a code reader and told me it was the PCM which I already did and told them, told me they couldn’t re program it and charged me $80 just to do something I already did. Won’t be going back.

The owner was so helpful... thank you for saving me in this deep freeze!Their reception lady also did me a favor and gave me a ride to the shop to get my vehicle as I was stuck at my hotel vehichless. They really cared... my car battery ended up freezing in the -50 weather, unfortunately i had no where to plug in my car... Thank you! very speedy as well, especially with the high volume of weather related care incidents

We go before appointment time 30 minute..office open late 10 minute..service is fair cost for inspection truck for register is high..

Took my truck in for service. Part they replaced was install incorrectly and was damaged while being installed. Went to another garage that has a good reputation on 116 st and mechanic showed me the install they did was incorrect. He replaced with correct one and i took the part back to show them the damage and they said they would call me back after talking to supplier? (don't know why wasn't install right to start)Waited three weeks and heard nothing back. Drop in to see what was going on. They refused to refund my money for the part and labor and said i was out of luck?The counter guy did not even care and make any effort to compensate for the poor workmanship and failing part.One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had.Do yourself a favor and stay away from Under The Sun Mechanical

Never go hereI asked them to do an inspection, and to change the oil, and add coolant. According to my odometer, they did not take the vehicle for a drive other than to put it into their shop. They charged me a ridiculous amount of money to say that your foot pedal pad was missing, and I had a tail light burnt out they did not include any of the other issues play no oil pressure and a couple other things. They overfilled my oil and didn’t fix it and they literally just added water and I coolant which since it’s cold and snow frozen in the overflow

I’m from Sask and didn’t know where to take my vehicle when I moved to GP. I took it to Ron at Under the Sun and since then I’ve always gone back. Being a young female, you never know when someone will try and take advantage (it’s easy to get ripped off when you don’t know much lol) but at under the Sun they’ve always been trustworthy and treated me very well. Thank you!
