Talize Thrift Store
I used to work at this talize location a few years ago and today I went in to take a peak and was shocked by their pricing. They are selling tons of shein items for more than what they are actually worth. Suzy sheir from 10 plus years ago with holes in it 15.99$. Seriously disheartening to see considering all the items are donated. I guess that’ll be my last trip to talize! My mom and I used to thrift together all the time here and even my mom has stopped coming because she can’t believe how terrible the prices are. It’s seriously not worth it. Go to the mission store, goodwill or Salvation Army instead.

Very disappointed...this location is one of the worst I've been to.Someone is getting filthy rich over our donations...When you see items with the ORIGINAL tags still attached and they are trying to sell it for more?? Like what??? Mind blowing...What is your target population Talize??? You need to do better!!

I love Talize. My kids and i have bought most of our clothes there for years. The prices are reasonable and there's always a good selection.Although it's a for-profit organization, re-using and recycling are the best options for the planet. The good thing is that they accept returns for credit, which a lot of thrift stores have stopped doing. It means I don't have to have my kids with me to try something on before I buy it.The staff are always friendly and helpful.

My daughter and her friends and I love Talize so much! We can spend hours there looking for clothes, toys, shoes, and household items. They give a $5 coupon for donating items too! Student and Senior discounts every day!!

I've donated & shopped at this Talize location twice now. The donation system is nice, however you have to carry your items up to the door & wait for an employee to come get them - you get a $5 off coupon for donating though. I always spend more than I intend to when I go thrifting, but some of the prices here are a bit ridiculous to the point I had to put things back on the racks. There's a good selection of almost anything you could think of & they have fitting rooms so you can try on clothing before you purchase it. They have 50% off manager pick deals daily, as well as student & senior discounts. The only staff interaction I had for both of my visits was at the cash register when I was checking out. I'd rather go to Goodwill or Value Village because they have lower prices, their donation system is a bit nicer & the staff is much more interactive.

Talize is a pretty good thrift store, they let stuff hang around for a while which I actually see as a bonus for someone who is prone to impulse purchases. There's a good variety of high quality items and some of my favorite finds have been here. That being said, I've been buying less and less and its because it honestly just feels like this place has lost it's identity.I miss the old Talize, where you could find the most raggedy, worn down pair of new balances next to heels that still had the ALDO price stickers on them; roughly at the same price point. The Talize where they just kept half the item in the front if they really didn't want it stolen. These days you go to Talize and everything that would have once retailed for over $50 has a security tag on it. Items with original price tags seem to be basically price matched. Even stuff with $4 dollar dollarama tags being priced at like, $3.75.I bought a real fur coat here in 2018 for $30. This year I saw an H&M faux fur coat at half the length priced at $80. I mean I get it, inflations been rough on everyone but like??? Feels like I have to be missing something.Maybe new Talize is actually paying people for their donations to help out the community, or just covering the cost of comprehensive benefits for all their employees. If they are, good on them. Otherwise, I wish they'd just go back to being an affordable thrift store again. Also, who ever is pricing the dishware here, can you please stop putting the price sticker over the manufactures label/stamp? I mean I'm sure you know your job better then I do - I'm just not very bright and I have no idea how to tell if something is oven safe if I can't read the label.still leaving 4 stars because there really is nowhere else to find a ceramic of a lady frog lifting weights.

I thought value village in London was bad with prices but this place takes the cake! WAY TOO OVER PRICED! Almost everything was 10-18 dollars. It's not like it was quality items either. Very very used items. Most of the selection was just company promotional shirts. Who's gonna pay 4.99 for a randoms company promotional shirt. Absolutely nothing worth buying. This Lacoste sweater (much more used than visible in pictures) was probably the best thing I saw there and I'd personally would never buy it.It's a Huge Store but not much value.

The store was clean and the staff was friendly. I found a decent selection of XL women's clothing including blouses, dresses, and active wear. They announced a manager's special of 50% off pink and purple tags, which was nice. I was also happy to find a well kept change room area as well. The return policy is a little tight with a 7 day store credit policy. When checking out, the cashier asked if I was a points member, of which I am not. I asked how can I become one, she said she would have to add me... but left it at that and completed my transaction. It felt like a missed opportunity.
