I hired Mace Masonry for brick repair and window sill replacement. The work looks fantastic; I couldn't be more pleased with how the job turned out. Carl's team was courteous and a pleasure to deal with. The team always left the property neat and tidy. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again or refer them to a friend.

This is the third time I've brought in Mace Masonry for work on the house. Carl is someone who finds a way to get things done and this time he repaired a crumbling retaining wall that would have scared off other contractors. He also briefly donned a plumber's hat to solve another problem involving masonry and a faucet, saving me the added expense of getting a plumber. Also, Carl and his workers are nice people.

Mace Masonry was recommended to me by a friend as someone who did excellent stonework. I was very pleased with Carl and his team's work cladding my front porch and steps and other brickwork. They were professional, courteous, on time and cleaned up at the end of each workday. The finished porch looks amazing and complete strangers have stopped to compliment the fine work. Our experience with Carl & Mace Masonry over a two week period of repair & rebuild work was overwhelmingly positive.We have a 120 year old brick house that had multiple scopes of work including parapet wall replacement, two chimney rebuilds, tuckpointing and the repair of an internal structural brick pillar. Initially we were going to install 5 stone sills to address water damage, the final install looked so beautiful we expanded the scope to every window on our house. Now our house is in great shape both structurally and aesthetically.Carl & the Mace team impressed us with their demonstrated knowledge, skill & professionalism. Carl skillfully identified the root causes of the issues and helped us clearly understand the recommended solutions. Where other masons that quoted the work (5+) saw execution challenges due to height & narrow access, Carl was solution oriented to safely execute the work.What impressed us the most was how clean our & our neighbouring properties were left after each day’s work. They even scheduled one final day to leave everything cleaner than when they arrived on the first day. Mace Masonry Ltd was recommend for a chimney rebuild I desperately needed doing.From start to finish my experience was a positive one. Carl Mace was quick to provide an estimate (which was very reasonable) and schedule the service. He was extremely knowledgeable and communicated every step of the process. Upon dismantling the chimney Carl found the job required more attention than he originally thought but still remained true to his quote. Mace Masonry provided a fair estimate and completed the job within the timeframe quoted. Carl was very pleasant to have around for a couple weeks while he worked to repoint our Exterior brick and provided suggestions to improve water ponding around the house. When we reached out after the job was complete to discuss further improvement Carl was quick to come have a look and then send an employee to perfect the area in question. Over all a good experience and I would recommend Mace Masonry to friends and family - I already have!

Carl and his team were working at a job for our neighbour and we asked him to take a look at some parging that was cracking at the side of the house and some damaged brick work. Carl took a look and also pointed out some issues with our window sills and some additional water damaged brick work. He was very knowledgeable and took his time to explain the issues and the remedy. Carl then sent us a quote for the brick and sill replacement as well as the parging. We found the quote to be competitive and booked Carl to do the job. He informed us at the time of the approximate date the work would be completed and would contact us closer to the date to confirm and secure the deposit. Good to his word he contacted us around the time he had indicated to let us know of some delays and an approximate start date for the job. The week the job was scheduled, Carl and his guys arrived on the Tuesday morning to set up the scaffolding and get to work (it had rained on the Monday). The job took about 3 days to complete and on the last day Carl came by to inspect the final work. Some of it didn’t meet his standards, so he had two of his guys come by the following week to fix it up and replace a few additional bricks at the side of the house. Carl and his team did an excellent job and we are extremely happy with the results. In the end they ended up replacing about 100 bricks, which were matched up perfectly with the existing brick work. The new parging and window sills look fantastic. We would not hesitate to recommend Carl and the team at Mace Masonry.

Carl and his team did an amazing job replacing all of the window sills and doing tuck pointing my home. I am very pleased with the final look of the brick and sills. They kept an organized work space and were very efficient by completing the job a day ahead schedule. Highly recommend!
