Passport processing took 6 hrs from line up downstairs to end. Employees are grumpy and rude. Pre-screening female employee didn't even want to hear reason why I want a rush passport. The final female employee is as rude. I greeted her and didn't respond then walked away without saying anything. Found out she went to get some forms. I asked for rush processing and she got it approved by her superior. I was asking her about details of picking up passport, she was very unwelcoming. She rolled up her eyes many times. I was just asking what time should I pickup passport in Vancouver. The staff work very slowly and are complaining about having to do overtime. A lot of people would like to work in government but it's just so hard to get in. I was thinking maybe they screened the best people to work with them. Well, with that kind of service, I don't think they are the best.

No free parking at this location. DO NOT park in the strip mall next door as someone is staking out the lot and watching for people parking there and will issue you a $86 ticket the moment you walk off the lot.

I hope this will help someone as other reviews really helped me.if you NEED your passport renewed in these trying times, go to this location, but come prepared and come EARLY. The first 5 people are there around or just before midnight! i got in line just prior to 3:30am and was the 15th person in line. i was walking out the door by 9:40 (also just pay for ample parking cause they'll get you right away) if you want to get in that day you MUST be in line before it opens.bring a chair, some food, some snacks, some coffee or water and just settle in, people in line-up were great, staff were fast and helpful.

This is the walk-in office for accessing a multitude of Government of Canada services such as Employment Insurance, Social Insurance Number, Passports, benefits, and more (see their website). Paid parking in the building surface lot, or limited free street parking a short walk away.COVID protocols are in place. The check-in is now in the main floor building foyer, with line ups there and extending outside. #letsguide #covid

Reading some of the reviews I was worried but I also know that last summer things were backed up so I wasn’t sure how accurate the reviews would be today. Happy to report that I had a great experience and the passport officers were nice. I showed up at 12pm and left well before 3pm. They event offered us water bottles while we waited! As well, I made friendly convo with others in line to get our passports & other documents. Time flew by! They were super efficient but expect about a 2-3 hour wait or more depending on how many people are in front of you.

Excellent Service! Obviously, it's a busy place to get your Passport, so plan and prepare documents before walking in. I got in line around 7 AM, and 10 people were ahead of me. At 730, 2 officers arrived and came out to confirm the service either for passports or SIN; then tickets were provided for those who urgently needed to apply for passports while SIN took another line. The service center opened at 830; I was in the second group, got into the building at 9 and waited until 945 to get upstairs. It was my first Canadian Passport, but all went well with pre-screening questions and processing. I paid the fee and walked out at 1030 AM. Mine was the standard, so 10-20 days to receive it. Overall experience: the staff was friendly and kind, and they explained everything clearly to ensure all documents were ready for the application. The case agent was helpful. I am the early bird, so I don't mind coming early, some people were impatient and made some errors on the forms and supporting documents, so my advice is to be patient and positive; most importantly, triple-check your form and documents so you will be fine to get through it. The officers and agents do their job, so please respect them; you will be fine and good luck!

Excellent Customer ServiceThere will be a long wait at every passport office regardless but the difference here is that they will make sure your comfortable in the mean while and they ensure that you will be seen and won’t turn you away no matter how long you’ve waited. However the security inside the office was a bit rude.I waited 8 hours in total for a walk in, got in line at 7:30am and left at 3pmThey passed out umbrellas and water to everyone in line, and some employees came out before they even opened to make sure everyone was in the right line, asked for our information and offered an appointment to those who were eligible so they wouldn’t have to wait.

I was impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of all the staff. Understandably it is a busy office, but everyone was friendly and courteous.Based on the advice in the reviews, I arrived at 7:30 and was 23rd in line. The building was open so we all got a seat inside to stay out of the cold. While waiting, staff checked that everyone had completed and correct applications and provided information about processing times - 10 business days at time of writing. If the forms were not accurate, the staff did their best to advise on how to correct the forms and offered to accommodate people as best they could the same day.I was done by 9:30, which I thought impressive considering they only officially opened at 8:30.My advice is to go early if you can and be prepared for at least a couple hours wait. Take something to drink, a book to read or enjoy some friendly chitchat with your neighbours.

Tried to get my passport renewed today, workers at this Service Canada and they are clearly one of the most rude and unprofessional. I was there from 12:00 to 3:00 and was unable to get serviced, they did tell us it would take us several hours and to wait. However, around the 3:00 pm mark, someone came down and told us that they would only service 5-10 more people and the rest of us would have to go back home (there was 20 people still in line). They did not even have the courtesy to tell us before hand or even provide any good service. Be cautious if you come here. Come early in the morning and be expect to meet workers with very bad manners
