Dr Yu and his staff have been both kind and professional with me throughout my entire experience. And best of all I have my full vision restored to me. Some reviews have commented on how crowded his offices can be, but I have always seen him in a timely manner. I can only admire him for his hard work and dedication towards improving the quality of life for so many people - me included

His 2.5 ratings says it all.I now need a cornea transplant after my cataract surgery almost 2yrs ago.

Dr. Yu is friendly and concerned for the health of my eyes. His office is always busy and sometimes there is a wait when going for an appointment - today there was no wait, I was seen right on time. I have never minded when there has been a wait. His office set up is very streamlined. He does what he can to to help as many people as possible - a blessing with our health system in its current state.Everything is set up very efficiently: the techs do the eye test and pressure test in one office and then I'm ushered into another for the field test (essential due to my meds) and then I see Dr. Yu himself. My time with him was brief but I feel cared for.Many years ago, he removed my cataracts - I'm still so grateful for that service! I was terrified as I have limited vision in one eye so only vision in the other eye really - if something goes wrong with that one, I'd be blind. He was understanding and solved the problem by operating on the bad eye first so I would see how simple and easy the process was. Then a couple of weeks later, he did my good eye". Everything went so well."

Dr Yu is a competent doctor with no time to adequately deal with his patients.You may wait in the reception an hour without a seat before heirs able to see you for 2 minutes.I strongly recommend you find another doctor.Marianne fullerBurnaby

Dr. Yu was very pleasant and professional. Wait time was 15 minutes over my appointment but I was squeezed in by emergency referral. He was definitely rushed after he was done with me but he is very good at his profession.

Absolute joke of a clinic, they have zero service, they threaten to charge you late fees if you’re late to an appointment but have never ever once been on time, they ask you to be there at 9 and make you wait 30-45 minutes to help you. Also if you don’t speak mandarin be prepared and expect to be treated like a 2nd class citizen. Will he looking for a new specialist immediately

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I was referred here for a minor surgery and they told me to wait 6 months for it. After waiting for 6 months, they called me a few days before the appointment and told me they have to reschedule it to another 6 months later because the hospital has no equipment." My surgery only requires forceps and a scalpel. Nonetheless

only looks at you for money, if u are deemed a waste of time then bye. Atmosphere is like a business" instead of patient care. Dont waste your time at ophthalmologists in Coquitlam

My friend had cataract surgery and was extremely pleased with the results. Dr. Yuu is so professional and caring which made this experience a lot less stressful than expected.Irecommend him to anyone needing cataract surgery .

Dr Yu I found to be very competent and informative. My first surgery went well. Dr Yu made me feel comfortable throughout the procedure. I have found the staff very supportive with any questions I have had. Busy office, but no more than any others, My wait time was decent.
