Very disappointed at the experience considering the price we paid. Ordered the top sirloin filet and it had no flavour, and was very tough. The sides (pictured) were not seared properly, and the steak was only mildly warm. The potatoes were also not flavoured, and the prawns that costed $11 extra were gummy and had no flavour also. I would recommend they add a garlic butter to dip them in to help. The green beans that were served with that dish were actually decent, although did not make up for the rest of the dish, which costed 50 dollars after the addition of the prawns. My ceasar was good, although the second drink (pictured) tasted a little like soap smells. My husbands clams were way overcooked, and his daiquiri was not daiquiri-like. The bruschetta was also very disappointing, with no flavour.Service was very scattered and confusing, we got the wrong cultery and it was handed out in 3 seperate trips.Overall, the price was not at all worth it. The food, while technically edible, was disappointing and worth less than 1/4 of what we paid.

I was on the fence about ordering the lobster roll, due to the price point.... But it's 1000% worth it! So good, and they throw what seems like an entire lobster tail in there. The restaurant is cozy, comfortable, and friendly staff who I'm sure will flourish given time and more training. Some constructive feedback I'd like to offer - our server forgot to bring a knife for the other member at my table, and had us hold onto our cutlery after the appetizer instead of clearing it and bringing fresh ones for the mains. When we left, some hosting staff were congregating near the entrance chatting and we're blocking our exit briefly. To me, however, the food and atmosphere made up for that. All in all, great experience and I'm looking forward to returning later this summer to treat myself.

I had the primo pizza today and it definitely was not what I expected from a pizza. It had a hint of sweet and smokey flavor that absolutely tasted Amazing. The chef did a fantastic job with this one and it definitely does not disappoint. Staff are super friendly and helpful and the restaurant it self gives off a nice relaxing, fun new place to hangout and have a couple drinks. Can't wait for the patio to open. ( I asked for my pizza extra crispy)

My husband and I have visited the East Coast multiple times and love the hospitality and food out there, so we were thrilled to hear about this establishment opening up giving us an option and filling a void in the city for fresh seafood. During our visit, we had the pleasure of speaking with the owner Chris who spent some time telling us about his childhood growing up out east and we learned that his parents who still live on the East Coast are the ones that fly the fresh seafood in for the restaurant - how cool! My favorite dish were the oysters which were delicious even without putting anything on them (the pomegranate and pink peppercorn mignonette that comes with was very tasty!), the mussels were very fresh and the chowder is a must try! The Brussels sprouts had the perfect amount if crispness to them with a delicious aioli topped with generous amounts of fresh dill, and my second favorite plate was the wood fired paella which had the perfect amount of kick to it while being full of flavor! Chris recommended finishing the meal with the blueberry creme brûlée which was the best way to end a great meal and experience. Our server was very kind, super attentive and genuinely wanted to make sure we were well taken care of. The food came out all in perfect timing, and with each plate we were asked if we were enjoying what we were being served and if there was anything else we needed. We left our dining experience feeling well fed with delicious food, and very well taken care of. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family and will most definitely be returning! Thank you Friskee Pearl!

If you are looking for quality food, fresh seafood and a chill vibe the pearl is 100% the place to visit. With the bar and dinner room separated by an impressive copper top bar you will feel like you are on the east coast as soon as you enter the door. With a pool table and stage for the love of music you will not be disappointed! We ordered the grilled Angus beef Sammy, golden po-boy, home made spaghetti with clams and poached Atlantic salmon and I can confirm our table was stuffed and happy with each of there meals. Everything was full of flavor and well plated. The seafood options are vast as well as traditional food including wood fired pizzas. This will be the new hot spot in Winnipeg for many people throughout the week.

Ordered the butter bean bruschetta, PEI mussels and Chris's lobster club roll. EXCELLENT! Atmosphere is fab, flavours on point with fresh ingredients and so fantastic to not have the same old seafood everyone else serves. Also super happy it's less than a 5 min walk from the office.

Nice place, drinks were amazing. Tomato soup was missing may be basil or some herb flavor, the cilantro did not work, bread stick was the star with the soup. Kale salad has delicious dressing, crouton was the star , kale was hard like cardboard, if it's not baby kale I believe you supposed to massage it, almost tasted like eating kale by the grocery aisle. For the pizza , wasn't sure if the woodfire stove out of order or something, it tasted like frozen pizza, center was under cooked kind of tasted like raw dough. The clam pasta was good, I could taste the wine but missing the garlic, shallot kind of herbs flavor, still pretty bland. Leaving this review for your future improvement as I know it's brand new restaurant. Server was nice but bills were confusing. Overall nice place to grab a few cocktails , lot of room for improvement.

Was super excited to try out the Friskee Pearl, and decided to take my Mom there tonight for her birthday. Was disappointed to see there wasn’t any shrimp cocktail, being a seafood place I figured they would have that on the menu!! But was excited to see lobster rolls, and oysters. The oysters were good but the lobster roll left something to be desired. The bacon over powers the lobster and it’s really not needed at all!! For $44 (i understand the price as were in central canada) it wasn’t worth it to me… Also got the crab cakes. They were super fishy and almost doughy and way too heavy. Couldn’t finish it personally. The atmosphere was mid and I don’t think I would return. Disappointed!! Server was great though. We ate all our food so we didn’t feel it necessary to complain but I honestly wish we spent our money elsewhere.
