Romer's Burger Bar
After biking from the North Shore I was excited to see a burger joint with bike parking. We locked our bikes to the nearby trees on the sidewalk and were seated on the patio which was roomy. We ordered our burgers and enjoyed a drink in the sun. I requested not to have cheese on my burger knowing it was an upsell. My burger then came with cheese and some of the saddest yam fries I’ve ever seen in my life. There must have been less than 12 fries. Considering these fries were an up charge of 1.50$ this was very disappointing. The burger itself was very mediocre for 19$. When the cheque was delivered I noticed they charged me not 1$, not 2$, but 3.25$ for A SLICE OF CHEESE. I requested the cheese be removed from the bill since I did not order cheese in the first place and the waitress reluctantly removed it. Overall just shrinkflation at its finest. Go a couple to blocks over to Bin4 instead. You have been warned.

I really like this place, I usually come back because the burguers and their salads. During weekdays we don't struggle to get a table.The Cider House Rule Burger was not my favorite, but the mac and cheese was delicious. Also, my friend really enjoyed the Chorizador. The drunken Donnuts were a highlight as well. The place is nice, the staff is kind and our experience was really good. Recommended.

Great burger, very big portion, service was great. We sat at the bar and Jessica the bartender was awesome! Very friendly, professional, always on top of things.

So good! Burger was delicious. Brioche bun. Best onion rings I’ve had in decades. Hand cut fries were amazing. Good choices of beer.

Thanks for the food, but the sauce on crispy fish taco was a bit too watery, so our tacos were a bit soggy. There can be an improvement on the Yam fries…Definitely love the red sangria.

Burgers delightful. Mocktails a bust. Over priced - over $60 for 2 drinks, a pop & burgers. One side of oinion rings instead of fries was around 4 over-crunchy n flavour lacking rings. It's better than Triple-0s, but I'd rather save the $ and go there next time.

Everything considered, in retrospect, I now understand why the place was not very busy on the Easter long weekend.I was craving burgers and my husband was wanting brunch, and I liked the fact that they had both on the menu and a nice variety of it too.The big breakfast was great and the bacon it came with was crispy to perfection. I ordered the Rodeo Burger with fries. The fries were fresh and tasty but it looked like it hadn't been topped off...as if a few fries were missing. The burger itself was slightly overcooked but overall tasty, however, cheddar is a must for me on all my sandwiches and especially burgers. One of the reasons I ordered the Rodeo Star burger was because of the Smoked Cheddar ingredient listed on the menu, but it was missing on the burger (see pic).Another thing that was disappointing was that they charged me $4.25 for non-bottled, fountain soda water. Yeah....they charged me $4.25 for water.Comon now.....you're going to price your burgers at $18 NOT INCLUDING FRIES and then charge the customer for water?! really? I'd like to remind all business owners that the Pandemic didn't only devastate business owners, but all people....every single person on the planet. The nurse, the mechanic, the teacher etc. etc. So, let's stop charging for water and let's stop wanting a tip for a cup of over-the-counter coffee to make an extra buck.Ok...so let's do a little math here...deductive reasoning.....My burger has to have two things....juicy patty and cheese....they were both missing and with them charging me nearly five bucks for water, and even though Burgers and fries are one of my favourite foods.....Not sure I'll be back.

It’s a decent place, good food but always empty seats around. There are some dudes who are managers maybe who do a lot of moves in the floor. Waitresses are trying to hard to impress and be welcoming. I went couple of times and will go again as food prices are not too bad.

This place was very disappointing. I saw reviews and really thought we were in for a treat. We had the calamari for an appetizer and it was cold. And as a party of five, only one enjoyed their entrée. Speaking on my own (I can't remember what I got but there was pineapple/jalapeño salsa or something) experience, my burger was very bland considering it had ingredients that should have spiced it up. I also had a key lime pie for dessert and it was so tart, it was actually most unpleasant. The Best Burgers in Vancouver" is definitely not found here."
