Good service and fresh for the cooked pastas. Large portions. Photos below are of the pesto gnocchi and the squash ravioli

I asked what the lasagna of the day was and they said veggie so I got it but it turns out there were no vegetables in it and it was just a massive portion of noodles and heavy on the cheeses. It was delicious but not what I would have ordered because I’m probably going to have a stomach ache later and I don’t like consuming heavy portions of dairy products for ethical reasons , I just find it excessive.

Incredibly delicious top quality creative pasta in a casual, neat and cozy spot at reasonnable $$ price. Not quite family friendly (no children seat) but more for the local work force and adventure seeking foodies.Unfortunately, staff seems somewhat penny pinching behind the counter. When asked to provide small pasta plate of a few pieces sprinkled with oliveoil + parmesan for our toddler to snack alongside us, they preferred charging us full price of a 3rd plate only to later relunctantly proposing a half price plate. By then we gave up and just went ahead with a full plate to which our son had 4 bites before we boxed the leftovers for home.More so, the service seemed cold, dry and uninterested to serve its clientèle despite not being in a situation of rush, perhaps it was an off day? If wasn't for the delicious pasta we experienced there, we probably wouldn't go out of our way to return to this location as we felt they didn't appreciate our patronage at all despite being showered with praises on their meals.Leaving a 4 to not bring down the score drastically but our experience felt frustratingly more like a 2.5-3/5 honestly.

Exceptionally fresh pasta and homemade sauces. The lasagna is one of if not my favourite in the city. Alternating takeout menu and lots of great specialized grocery options. If you’re in the mood for Italian, Il Miglio definitely has you covered!

Also new and interesting for us. A modern casual Italian place with some fusional elements, maybe French maybe Asian. Really generous portion. More to explore. Will return sometime.Dish triedCampanelle aux champignons / Campanelle with mushroom sauceCampanelle

Good pasta in the Mile end! The place can get quite noisy during lunch hour if you eat there, but the food(and the price) is worth it :)

The pasta here is absolutely delicious! Very fresh pasta and sauces for a reasonable price, hard to beat in Montreal.

I loved loved loved ilmigliomontreal when I went yesterday. I only wish I could go here more during the week but it's hours of (Monday-Friday from 11:30-3) hinder me from going here at least once a week, because I would! Might be a good thing because I'd probably go more and gain 5 pounds a week from eating so much pasta..The people behind this beautifully put together restaurant are Giovanni Rasile, Michele Mercuri, Claude Pelletier and Hubert Marsolais. Between the four of them they are also responsible for other amazing restaurants around the city such as restaurantleserpent, leclubchasseetpeche and restaurantlefilet..Looking at ilmigliomontreal, this spot is truly a marval. From the time you walk into this 25 seat restaurant and see the long communal table, you feel that this is a place where you can come, sit, eat a great meal on your lunch break, and maybe share a story or two with your neighbour..I remember asking, what is one of your signature dishes? The dish that if I need to base my whole experience from here on out, what would you recommend me? She answered without any hesitation, get the Carbonara..I take one bite. One single bite. And as cheesy as it sounds transported me back to Italy. It was so rich and so creamy. The homemade pasta was cooked so perfectly. It had the right amount of spice from the pepper, the right amount of savory and sweet from the parmesan. Everything about this dish, from a simple guy who loves to eat good quality food, at a great price, loved ilmigliomontreal!.I'd recommend this place to anyone who is in the area of Mile End to try during there lunch and eat some amazing pastas at 5235 Boulevard Saint-Laurent.

Could use more vegetarian options but was impressed with the quality you get for the price (akin to a fancier restaurant for $25-30 a dish)
