Very interesting spot with history and nature! Good picnic spot and leashed dogs are allowed! Great demonstration on the signs and well maintained site. Free parking! Highly recommended!

Great place for an hour long visit. Allows you to appreciate the history of Canada and limitations of the transportation network in early Canada in XVIII century. There are several good areas for a family picnic.

Coteau-du-Lac National Historic Site
I am not sure how I never knew this was here. Amazing grounds with awesome views, historical information, ruins, cannons and a museum, all for the low price of zero dollars. The staff were exceptional - they were engaging and friendly and helpful. The kids loved it, I loved it, the dog loved it.

Coteau-du-Lac National Historic Site
The Blockhouse of Couteau du Lac shows as the remnants of the past. It tells us the history and the people, the battles and sacrifices, the weapon and defenses, and much more. The place have tour guides that will take you to the sites and will give you insights and understanding about the historical place. So if you happen to be in Quebec and have seen the picture i've posted, please come visit this place. You can do picnic there as well.

Coteau-du-Lac National Historic Site
although we happened to pass by on a rainy day, it was a pleasant walk around and the view was entertaining! I totally liked the idea that the park is an archeological site with props displayed as reenactment!

Coteau-du-Lac National Historic Site
One of the best historical parks in Quebec. Not only is the history shared here by young enthusiastic ladies and gents, but it's also well maintained by them. Stunning views of the St Lawrence River, beautiful gardens, clean picnic site under huge trees. Enjoyed by locals and tourists. Stunning sun rises. Well done to all involved.

Coteau-du-Lac National Historic Site
Nice little space near the water. The Fort is small but it is nice to wonder around and see the site and the canal. There are picnic tables for a snack or just relax and the river is beautiful. I liked it.
