Luther Village on the Park

My mother has lived at Luther Village for five years. She has always enjoyed the gracious atmosphere, and the caring and welcoming attitude of staff who work there. It's a great place for her to live and her life has been enriched because of it.Our entire family is extremely grateful to Luther Village administration and staff for their leadership and tenacity in protecting residents against Covid-19. They have been proactive in their actions and communicate frequently with my mother and our family to ensure that everyone - residents and staff - remain healthy and well.

Our parents just move over from the Lutherwood Life Lease Independent Living to the Sunshine Centre and we are extremely happy with the accommodations and the excellent service we have received in the short time they have been there. Chris Koller in particular was a helpful guiding force, along with the ever patient and helpful Zulma Garcia. A great experience all around. Couldn't be happier.

I recently helped my mom move out of her home and into a renovated condo unit in the atrium. This was a huge step for her, and understandably, she had many questions and apprehensions about moving. When we first walked into the atrium at Luther Village, we knew this was a special place. Thank you, Jocelyn, for taking so much time to answer every question and concern we had to help make this transition for my mom as easy as possible. You really listened to her concerns and priorities, from the renos to the parking spot, and we appreciate all the support you've shown every step of the way. Your warmth and bubbly personality help put her at ease during this very difficult transition in her life. The other staff members we have spoken with have been more than helpful and accommodating as well. Without a doubt, I feel my mom has made a perfect choice for her to continue living her life in a safe, friendly, and supportive environment. Hopefully she will begin to get familiar with the area and become more involved with the amenities, activities, and warm, friendly people that Luther Village on the Park has to offer.

We are a newly retired couple in our 60’s and have recently downsized to a beautiful and spacious townhouse after selling our Toronto home. We love the quiet location across from the park with wonderful bike trails and easy walking access to stores and other amenities in nearby Uptown Waterloo.Thanks to the friendly and helpful sales team we worked with of Jocelyn and Lisette, to the team at Waterloo Home Improvement who did a beautiful renovation of the space, and to Abby of Abigail K Interiors who helped us navigate different design choices along the way.We used the recommended vendors, since we are not from the area, and had excellent service from Fine Line Fireplaces, Total Blind Care, Stallion Movers and KW Appliance+.Everyone has been very friendly and welcoming. Robin is taking advantage of the great onsite woodworking shop and we’re looking forward to planting vegetables in the community garden in a few weeks.

We recently moved our mother to Luther Village and the overall experience and compassion shown by those who work there to be an overall positive move. We are so impressed with the building itself and amenities, along with the great staff. We look forward to our mother meeting new people and being able to live independently (with some assistance) to ensure her safety and happiness. Excited to be part of the Luther Village on the Park family.

Thank you to Jocelyn Veith at Luther Village for helping every step of the way with my mom's recent move from her home for the last 50 years to her newly renovated condo. This was a very monumental step and she had so many questions and concerns. Jocelyn always took time with her to guide and reassure her at every stage. It has been such a positive experience and I could not recommend Luther Village more.

For the past two months I've been looking for a retirement home for my mother who is dealing with health issues that are deteriorating her physical condition. She's in need of regular supervision and assistance with many aspects of daily life. Needless to say it's been a stressful time in our family.From the moment I made contact with a representative from Luther Village on the Park I've felt nothing but support from them. I spoke to Chris initially who provided me with the basic information I was looking for in the early stages of my search. She provided pricing, amenities, and availability to me immediately without delay. It took other facilities I contacted days to even reply to my initial message.Chris communicated with me via email promptly and always answered any questions I had for her. We made an appointment to visit the home and we were sold immediately. Luther Village on the Park is a beautiful facility in a great location. The entire process of moving my mother into the facility was seamless and stress free.Every staff member we've had the pleasure of interacting with since my mother's move to the home has been a positive one. It's clearly evident that the staff truly care about their residents at the home. In stressful times with so much uncertainty and worry in the world it's a breath of fresh air to see this level of customer service still exists. Especially in an industry that is extremely vulnerable to the risks of our current world health issues.I applaud all the staff at Luther Village on the Park for continuing to give 100% effort daily. Choosing this home for a loved one would be an excellent choice for anyone. I highly recommend this home. I'm confident my mother is comfortable, safe and happy here.

I have worked in LTC and retirement communities since 2001. I joined Luther Village in 2020 and I must say that my experience has been amazing. It is a great feeling to feel supported by your leaders and team members. I have enjoyed my employment here and getting to know the residents and families and supporting them has been so rewarding. It is a very caring environment and the staff work very hard to make sure residents feel supported, safe, and comfortable in their home. Compared to other retirement homes I have worked in, Luther Village has the greatest staffing compliment which enables care staff to give the best person centred care possible.

Wonderful! Kindness, care and compassion in a truly beautiful place. My expectations are more than exceeded, they are enhanced. The incredible people at Lutherwood have made my mom feel so welcome and there's so much for her to enjoy... I am forever greatful.

This organization only cares about looking good. No communication or fluidity whatsoever. No one knows what the other is doing and you're constantly being passed around like a hot potato until management says I will look into it and get back to you". Rinse and repeat.
