I needed peace of mind when I had to travel out of town on business. I needed someone to keep an eye on the owners of the property next door to ensure that they would not encroach onto my property or cause further damage to what is left of my fence and garden. Sounds crazy but the security guard was less expensive than a lawyer! Unicorn was able to provide someone with only a couple of days notice. Russell arrived on time and understood what I needed him to do leaving me worry free while I was away. I will have them back again if the need arises.

Save on Foods on Main Street is also run by Unicorn Security but the handicapped stalls are barely visible. They need repainting because the decals are faded out.

Don't ever trust this company for public safety. They are more interested in profiting off their customers than providing them with a good service. Here's the thing: they lock security gates for a number of parkades in downtown Vancouver. If you happen to miss the sign saying the closing time of the gate, chances are you missed the even smaller print below their contact number that says A small fee may apply." This "small fee" however is $40 to have a guard who's paid hourly drive 10 minutes to push a button. By the way

TDLR: they locked one of their parking garages early, leaving me stranded late at night.Parked in one of their underground parkades on 1720 Grant Street, which was to close at 11:00 PM as per their signage. I returned at 10:55 PM to find the gate already closed and my car locked inside. I called Unicorn to let me in and apparently they don't even have the key or fob to access the very parkade that they are responsible for. They told me to contact Indigo instead and that they would have the key. When I contacted Indigo, they gave me the run around and said Unicorn would have access. I spoke with managers from both parties and neither of them were of any help, merely saying that the other would be the one with the key.As one of the reviews state below, this is also Indigos responsibility. How is it that neither the company that is responsible for the parkades surveillance (Unicorn) nor the company that owns the lot (Indigo) have access to their own parkades? And why was the parkade locked early? Either a staff member wanted to call it an early night or they programmed the gates to lock early. In either case, this incompetence left me stranded in Vancouver late at night and neither parties could provide me with assistance.I would not recommend using this company's services.

Unicorn is who Telus Security uses for their runners. They never answer their phone, never show up when an alarm is going off and therefore never do their job. This has happened several times now and we can no longer use Telus Security because of Unicorn.

I have been working with the company for more than three years now and I have nothing but the best to say about the conpany. First of all, I am so grateful of Mr. Ishwinder for providing a plethora of potential oppurtunities within the company. As a result, I have moved my way up from static guard to the mobile department. The company is very well organized and client oriented, they are ready to give their best to their clients. Also, the company offers you amazing additional benefits and coverages. Atlast, I take in pride by calling myself an employee of Unicorn Security.

They never told us it was cash only, until we waited 1h for the driver to arrive to open a parkade gate. Don’t know how its standard practice to extort you for $50 to get your vehicle out, and then subsequently drop the price down to $40 when you tell them you dont have cash.

Same as Carolina’s below, except we waited one and a half hours on the roadside for him to show up. Furthermore he was rude.Indigo Parking is equally to blame. The parking meter accepted and charged us for parking till 6 am, but locked up the site at 8 pm. There was no notification of this on the parking meter as is usual with other pay n park sites. This is a scam and will not be parking at indigo Parkades again. If everyone acts accordingly, this can be addressed. See quote of a similar review below :QuoteDon't ever trust this company for public safety. I've witnessed unicorn security employees treat people who are clearly dealing with very challenging circumstances as if they are not even people at all. Telling homeless people to go home, I've yet to see any unicorn employee speak to a caucasian person with any respect or dignity at all. I think management needs to rethink their training methods and make sure that their employees treat human beings as they would like to be treated.

Unicorn security has recently moved into my neighbour hood. At first I was under the impression that they were respectful. This was soon to change. They do not have enough parking for their fleet of vehicles, nor personal cars. They park in the middle of an access/egress road, in-front of houses, etc. needless to say everyone is fed up. The impression I have been given is this company is inadequately managed.
