Brenda's Place & Bakery
I had heard about Brenda's from a friend who rides motorcycle and he had suggested I try it out. The decor is a little worn and dated, but that only adds to the charm. I was seated and served by Brenda herself. I have worked in the food service industry before, and Brenda has a way that serves you which makes you feel like your part of the family. I got a skillet to begin with and it was very good. I have to admit that I am a bit of a butter tart nut, and Brenda's doesn't disappoint. I asked Brenda what butter tarts she had and she rhymed them off in the same manner you would expect a bartender telling you what they had on tap. I was truly impressed. I got a banana pepper butter tart? I love spicey food, and this was perfect. It was a great day for a motorcycle ride, and only made even better by stopping in at Brenda's. In one word - Awesome!

So good. Every time. Their breakfasts, lunches, and (oh-so-delicious) baked goods are fantastic. What's more is that they're genuinely friendly people. Brenda's Place has become part of my weekly routine and it will continue to be as long as I'm in the Stratford area.

Best breakfast I have had in a while. I'm not sure how you make bacon and eggs stand out but it was enter than I'm used to from other restaurants.Plus lots of goodies to choose from to take home after.

Tasty bakery items, coffee is pretty good. I did not try the sandwiches but they looked good too. You can sit at a table, or take it to go. Staff were lovely and helpful. This locally owned bakery cafe has the small hometown charm that I prefer over fancier places.

Awesome place for home-made breakfast and lunch. Great food with awesome service.Note: They are open weekdays until 3pm.They are NOT open evenings or weekends!Small and often fully-booked by mid-day. If you are lucky enough to get a seat you will be pleased. (in nice weather there are some tables outside on the grass verge between the parking lot and the road. Kinda fun to eat there too :0)They also offer vegetarian, gluten-free and gluten-sensitive items for both eat-in and take-out meals and desserts. They also do custom orders for baked goods: birthday cakes, dessert trays, etc.Highly recommend!

If you are in the Stratford area, Brenda's should not be missed. Quaint bakery with regular customers who eat there every day. Home fries and onions, great pancakes and eggs, and a bakery with pies, and muffins, and cakes, and 11 kinds of butter tarts. Very reasonable prices and warm service. Made my day.

Every time you go to Brenda’s you are treated like family. The food was amazing, the service was friendly, and they took special care of our food allergies. Don’t forget to bring some baked goods home with you! (Get the GF Peanut Butter Cookies)

Waited 30 minutes for a simple bagle and cheese while many others came in after me and ordered full breakfasts and received theirs before me. I had to speak up to get my order. The bagle was small but good. May want to order something larger if you're hungry.
