The Book Man
Don't listen to the negative reviews, I've had nothing but great experience here and the staff is always so lovely and helpful no matter how many questions I have to ask about books. The cats are definitely an added bonus and I love that you can donate to them, their prices are fair, I found one of my favorite books for a lower price than I would have on Amazon. If they don't have a book they will gladly order it in for you, I have found all the books no ones even heard of here. They've made reading an enjoyable experience for me again which is hard as I consume books so easily and am constantly looking for suggestions and boy have they suggested me some gems and even my new favorite book. Thank you bookman!

The Book Man
This is how all book stores should be. Filled to the brim with old and new releases stacked high on irregular shelves. Alive with chatter with excited readers in one aisle and quiet pondering through pages in the next. A fluffy orange cat that calls the store its home greets us upon entry. My boyfriend shopped here as a kid living in Chilliwack, and now that we've moved out here again, we are keen to continue the tradition. I'm so happy that there are still stores like this thriving in our community. My aunt co-owned a book store 20 yrs ago in Downtown Vancouver that was renovicted on Granville street, not long after Chapters had moved in a few blocks away. In my mind, the only good place to browse books outside of a library is a locally owned store crammed with wonderful reads. It has to have that slightly musty book smell (musty in a good way!). It has to feel comforting, like a home from home. The Book Man has all that and more.

I brought in some used books that I was given store credit for. I had a chance to wander around the store. It is clean, cat-friendly (they are adorable!), and well organized. I'll definitely be back to use up my credit!

One of the best used book stores I've ever visited. A real pleasure. Great selection, fantastic organization and wonderful service. I came from Vancouver specifically to visit and was delighted. Will definitely be back.

The Book Man
I wish I had allowed myself more time to wander the aisles in my visit to The Book Man in Chilliwack. Alas, I was on a time limit and had a particular title in mind. They had a wide selection of options in the genre, including a few options of the book I was seeking. The friendly staff were most helpful, including going above and beyond when I asked a slightly random question, and they assisted me to not only find the answer, but to leave with a solution as well!And...the kitties...well, what a perfect addition to the experience!!

The staff here are super friendly and willing to help. The layout is quite honestly shockingly well organized for a used bookstore, like... I have been to many of them across BC, and the detailed organization here is phenomenal.And then throw in the fact that the longer you stay in here the more likely you are to see a cute furry feline friend, especially one in the most cat of all places, like judging you as cats do from atop a bookshelf... is just a cherry on top.I would rate this place 7/5 if google would allow me, alas, I can only give 5 well deserved stars.

I could spend hours in here. The staff is helpful. If they don't have a book they'll.order it in for you. New. Used, they have it all along with a selection of puzzles and other cool stuff book related. Also a couple store cats wander around and charm customers. Kids section is great also.

The Book Man
This bookstore felt like a portal to a dimension of new perspectives and journeys. They proudly represented the progressive pride flag. As I was looking the store and feeling the beautiful, soft, and comforting pillar socks, the front door open robotically and the wonderful guide greeted me with enthusiasm. I did not have time to enter the portal this visit.I peeked in through the door and window and the store seemed utterly interesting.Thank you for proudly expressing the queer communities.
