I trusted the advice of my lawyers during my divorce process. Never once was I told that the division of assets which I had discussed with my ex was not 100% in my favour because of which I’m now going through severe financial and emotional stress as it has given him power over me. Additionally, when I was getting ready to sign, I got a call from Ann Marie and she greeted me with, “It’s done! Yay! Isn’t that great?!” which was COMPLETELY insensitive and was not at all related to my state at all. This divorce was a necessity, not something my ex and I wanted if we could’ve found a way. It was painful. We chose collaborative lawyers because we were not and still aren’t at each other’s throats. There was a complete lack of empathy and I do not think attention was paid to my case at all since we weren’t fighting. I’m seeing how my ex’s lawyer is working with him and how mine did. These people did not look out for me.Also, I read the reviews. Majority of the reviews are by their staff about the work environment. The reviews are not mainly by clients.
