Advanced Parking 501 Richards St Garage - Lot #170

I've been parking here for over 9 years and seen many changes to the lot. I've always appreciated the security patrols, although there is still a lot of theft and vandalism - thanks for your care and attention, 5 star rating for you! Things seem to have gone downhill lately though with a significant water leak. Walking down the stairs now means getting splattered with dirty water. A few weeks to fix the pipe is acceptable, but this has been going on for months.

DO NOT PARK HERE IF YOU HAVE AN EVENT THAT ENDS NEAR 10pm! They locked the gate at 10:15pm on a Saturday locking my car in. It costs 50$ to get someone to unlock the gate even if they just locked it minutes ago. Unbelievable they don't give people at least an hour to grab their vehicles.

Gate was open when we were driving and thought it was the impark lot so we drove in and walked down to pay until we realized it was a fob entrance only and all the gates were suddenly closed. We were locked out and couldn't move our car. We called the after hours number as it was a weekend and it took 7 hours to get somebody to come let us out.Absolutely a joke trying to get through to somebody but once we got through to Farren, she was lovely and kept us updated. She sent somebody but it took several hours for them to find the key, stuck in traffic and we were unsure if they were going to come once reading the reviews on here. But- long story short they actually do show up. So if you're stranded be prepared for numerous calls and multiple hours of waiting when you're given 90 minutes expect 4 hours.Or just don't go in. Crazy.

pros:>cheapcons:>bad hours if you take night classes; closes at 8pm, and apparently closes on weekends as well (new policy as of 2/8/2019), but today (a Saturday) I arrived at about 12pm and the gates are open as usual and lots of cars parked in it, so I don't know what's going on.>the sign at the entrance is a lie; they will not help you if you're vehicle is still in the facility after gate closes. Even if you are willing to pay the fees.

I was paying my parking downstairs, I have to down lode the app, because I didn’t bring my card, after 20mins I finally got it payed. And when I come back, there was a towring ticket on my windshield. I just drove my car away. I would never come back here.

This parking lot is garbage. Charge me 55 cash dollar to open the gate. And the security guard is a liar.

DO NOT PARK SAVE YOUR CAR .. regular car theft and no one to talk to, it even feels like an inside job, please save your self and your car and don't park here .. hopefully u read this and be safe

They lock their gate after hour, but that’s fine. They have an after hour number. I called them, their security guy found the lot in their system, but doesn’t know the gate code. Only his manager knows. His manager is only reachable by email. 1 star.

I would have given this company zero stars if I could. My car got stock there for the holidays and they don't have anyone to open the gates.

I signed up for parking at lot #170 when there was a threat of a transit strike.I chose the Rooftop Special which was advertised as $125/month.There are other charges though:Translink Tax GVRD . . . . $ 30.00Goods and Service Tax . . $ 7.75TOTAL. . . . . . . . . . . . . . $162.75When you sign up for monthly parking you sign up for a minimum of three months.As with most parking lots downtown, drug addicts will break into your car. Do not leave any valuables in your car.Lot #170 is not open after 8:00 P.M. or on weekends.
