My wife and I had a couple of inspections done by Shawn during our house hunting process. We were very happy with his work and highly recommend him. He is thorough, clear and knowledgeable. He spent some time after his inspection going over his findings with us and was helpful in answering any questions that we had. And the report that he sent in later was very detailed.Thanks to Shawn, we found a few hidden red flags in one of the houses we were interested in, and were able to finally end with a place we're happy with and confident about.

Shawn was very helpful and had the report done and sent to me within a few hours of leaving the property. Before the inspection Shawn asked if there were any items in particular that I wanted looked at, and gave some great advice on a few concerns I had. The inspection report was very detailed and easy to follow, which was a definite plus with me being out of the province while buying a home.Great communication and customer service, I would recommend to anyone!

We hired Advanced Home Inspections just after our offer on a house was accepted by the seller.Shawn was exactly what we were hoping for! He was friendly, professional and very thorough. He made the effort to inspect everything accessible, and carefully walked us through his report and what it meant. The report was crystal clear, which was very appreciated given the stress of buying a home, and it was straightforward to use as a checklist for some fixes and adjustments, after we took possession. We have had a few home inspections from Shawn with Advanced Home Inspections. The biggest thing that stands out to me it is how fair Shawn is with his inspections. He doesn't act on behalf of the buyer or the seller, he just reports the facts. He is incredibly personable and anyone would be smart to have Shawn do their home inspection. You will leave with all the intimation you need to make a sound decision; of it's a new home purchase or just checking in on how healthy your house is.
