Great presentation and good way to engage kids while learning. Good techniques to keep kids active. Presenters are knowledgeable and know what they are doing.

I am glad that I chose to put my son in this Karate club. My son is having a great experience learning Karate from Sensei Phillip , Sensei Nancy, Sempai Steve, Sempai Mike and other Sempai. It is well organized and spacious . Everyone gets opportunity to compete in tournaments and improvise their karate skills. Overall I highly recommend to join Shotokan Karate Club NW.

The decision I made to learn karate at SKC NW was indeed a right one. Both Sensei Phillip and Nancy and other Senpais demonstrate strong passions in teaching karate. Not only that they are approachable, friendly, dedicated, but also strict in karate training. For children, karate can definitely improve personal growth and confidence. For adults, it's a way to find better self and become stronger both physically and mentally (needless to say that requires constant training)Congrats on the expansion, I enjoy the bigger space for sure; I also hope that SKC NW will continue to grow! See you at the dojo, Osu!!

Excellent club! I’ve been in a variety of dojos and love the family atmosphere of this one. They are strict but kind. The focus is learning and improving your karate which I appreciate. My girls enjoy coming to this dojo and I have seen their love of karate grow and their confidence improve. The instructors are excellent with both kids and adults. If you’re looking for a great workout, come to this dojo!

I have been training with Senseis Phillip and Nancy for almost 6 years now and am continually impressed with their enthusiasm and patience. Everyone (teachers and fellow students alike) is supportive and encouraging. It is a traditional style of karate - respect for others is key and there are definitely standards which must be met in order to pass to the next belt level. Loving the new larger facility!

Excellent club. You notice as soon as you walk in. Good karate has a certain reverence for movement and almost life in general, and this place has it. There is a welcoming environment, camaraderie, excellent instruction and the space is great.Karate is like anything where you only get out, what you put in. But it makes you want to 'put in' more when you're in a great environment for Shotokan karate. I'd go every day, if I could.

We have know Sensei Nancy and Phillip for many years. They have been most encouraging and supportive to both my sons. My younger one is still training and he finds Sensei Philip to be a great role model. The club is teaching respect and discipline in a warm and friendly environment. It is like being a part of a large family" . Great club and wonderful teachers."
