Called Alex on Friday about my juki 562 industrial machine and he said bring it in Saturday at 10:00am He did a full tune up and then a detailed explanation of everything he did and what I need to do to keep it running perfectly. Called and I picked it up at 3:30 the same day!! Alex sure knows his stuff. I would highly recommend him.

I recently was working on a very time sensitive project for a client when my sewing machine broke down and I desperately needed it repaired. I called a few repair places in town and was told that it would be a 3 week to 2 months wait until my sewing machine could be repaired!!! When I called A S Sewing Machine Repair, I was told it would be about 5 business days. I had to ask twice because I was shocked it could be that fast! I dropped off my machine that afternoon and politely asked if I could have it back ASAP. Mr. Steinberg promised he would do his best. To my suprise, I got a call THAT EVENING and was informed that my machine had been fixed and entirely cleaned, tuned, and was sewing like a dream! I was so thrilled! Even though it was nearing 9pm, Mr. Steinberg had no issues with me coming that late to pick it up! Upon pickup, he explained exactly what had gone wrong with my machine and was done to repair it. I explained a bit about my complicated sewing project and was given some great advice as to ensure my problem doesn't happen again. I even got another call from Mr. Steinberg the next day simply because he wanted to offer additional professional sewing advice! Just amazing! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Mr. Steinberg; totally professional, incredible service, and so knowledgeable. And what's more - the cost of the repair was totally reasonable, despite the speedy turn-around. Just a hard working man, doing what he loves best, out of his workshop/garage... simply, the best!

I was lucky enough to find this business via Google review (thank you, previous reviewers!). Alex took my very old machine and tuned it up within 3 days - when other places were estimating between 10 days and 6 weeks. I believe he would have been done faster, but my machine hadn't been used in a number of years, and the grease inside had turned gummy. Alex worked diligently at it, and got it working perfectly. I am so grateful to have benefited from his service. He seems a kind, gentle man who clearly knows his stuff and enjoys his work. Thank you, Alex! Cannot recommend highly enough.

Recently, I had a very old sewing machine repaired by Alex. He was able to make the repair very quickly and he also oiled the parts and provided me with some needles for a particular sewing job that is coming up. I was very happy with the service and would recommend Alex for your sewing machine repairs.

My mom had a older 1972 Bernina machine that she had someone else try to repair. They did a horrible job to the point where it could barely work. Alex was able to repair it and had it running as smooth as the day it came from the factory. My mom really pleased and happy to finally find someone who could service her machine. I highly recommend Alex.

Alex has been super helpful in setting up my industrial sewing machine and getting little odd parts for it. He is extremely nice and experienced (ask him how long he's been doing it for) and sells all sorts of high quality thread, needles, and other accessories. He has stuff like sewing machine oil that you can't really get in stores in Ottawa.I was recommended to him through another sewing store that couldn't help me with my type of machine.

My old 90s Kenmore machine is purring like a shiny new one and powering through all of my backed up sewing projects!Other machine repair services had a 2 month wait and he was able to have mine back to me in 3 days!100% recommend AS Sewing Machine Service!

Alex came to my shop to service my aging serger, did a fantastic job and even fixed all the little things like the angle of my light and thread holder. He sharpened all my scissors and sold me new serger spools of wonderfully silky thread. Ten out of ten service!!

Alex is a whiz with a sewing machine! Not only did he service my machine but he taught me how to use certain functions. I received my (refurbished) machine as a gift from my mom and the manual couldn't explain as much as Alex did in 5 minutes. He gave me tips for hemming leggings and how to properly care for my machine at home. I'll definitely return!Note: Just as an fyi, Alex fixes mechanical issues, not electronic stuff he said.
