Canada Post

A nice little location that’s been super convenient for me. I mostly use it to pick up parcels from online orders and it’s always been a breeze. Sometimes though there can be small queues as it’s a small office with just one staff. The lady here is usually helpful.

Sad to say this is my closet Canada Post location. The employees don’t know how to work the FlexDelivery Service from Canada Post. Computer always crashes, scanners don’t scan and they always loose my packages. I get about 4 or 5 packages per month and there’s always an issue. On many, (literally many) times, I’ve been told my packages aren’t there. Once she even implied the slip the mailman left at my place was wrong. After the usual argument, she’ll go to the back and realize it was there all along. She always blames the computer or the mailman or anything, but will never apologize. On one occasion, she turned her back and began speaking Portuguese while sorting trough the packages. She was cursing at me and calling me names. Only problem is I speak Spanish so I understood most of it. Then she denied it and then switch back to English. Soon after, she called for someone to take over and left. Disturbing that nobody cares about costumer service here.

I’ve been to this Canada post location many times as it is the closest location to my place. EVERY single experience has been beyond negative. The lady is rude, impatient, seems miserable working there and lacks basic customer service skills. Her negativity is contagious, and one leaves feeling stressed and overwhelmed after engaging with her. It is unbelievable that this is even possible to accomplish by a Canada Post worker, however, she somehow manages to make it possible. I have NEVER experienced this lack of service at a Canada Post before and it is embarrassing for a company to continue allowing this behaviour.

I often read the reviews before posting my own if I have a complaint as I want to assess if it was just an off moment or if it’s a pattern. As someone who has worked in customer service my whole working life, I know it’s not always a perfect day and often a flat attitude is the result of constant abuse by customers and the slow wait times can also be attributed to customers not being prepared.However, I visit this post office about 2 times a week and unfortunately my experience matches many of the reviews here. The attitudes are very passive aggressive and I often feel guilty for dropping off packages. For example. Two nights ago I purchased an express post envelope and when she asked if I needed a pen to fill it out and I said yes, she turned her back and said “no one ever has a pen” before slamming the pen down. Given the man infront of us was very rude to her and made a scene, and perhaps she was upset but that’s no need to take it out on the next person in line.As for the tape, I saw someone note that they were denied tape and there was an owner response blaming COVID for that. Which is why I felt I needed to comment. Over 2 years ago I walked with a parcel in the rain and the tape came loose, I asked for tape to reinforce the parcel and they made me buy a roll. Then, when I asked, if while in your custody a parcel opens up, do you just continue to place it in the trucks? To which I was told they would tape it closed in that case. This was precovid so the prudence around tape is not just because of current events. However; if you’re parcel isn’t even closed or the shipping label isn’t attached, I can understand the frustration because the parcel really should be prepared for shipment before you arrive.

I go there merely because it’s the closest post office to my place. Every time I go there, the lady sounds very impatient. I’ve never seen a warm smile on her face. It looks like I interrupt her cozy and calm afternoon time.

The older, curly haired woman who works at the postal counter here is mind-boggingly miserable and unfriendly. I dread coming here and usually drop off my parcels at other CP counters farther away just to avoid any interactions with her; she really seems to hate her job and often gets into altercations and arguments with customers. When an upset customer asked her what the point of her working there was, if she wasn't willing to help her with her mail issue, she replied, so I have the patience to put up with people like you!" There is a sign saying that rude and aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated; how about applying it to the staff as well?"

I use the post office here whenever I need to send something, either for my home business or gifts etc. and I had another good experience today with Chau while I was shipping some packages internationally. I've always found her to be patient and kind, while also being fast and very knowledgable about the whole process. Just wanted to write to say thanks and I'll keep coming back whenever I need to mail anything!

First time using this post office and will most definitely be back. I only wish my parcels where delivered here as well. The clerk working was pleasant helpful and kind. I wish I remembered her name but I will not forget her.Teena@neatknotz
