Seasonal rhubarb galatte pastry was amazing. I took one to go! Little bakery, lots of great options. We took some baked breads to go, they feel and smell phenomenal. We’ll get to taste the rest at home. They were honest about sending us to another coffee shop which made us want to buy more. Thank you for a delicious grab-go breakfast.j

My policy for exploring places to eat in new places I visit, is that if there's a lineup, you're in the right place. And this was certainly true of Black Bird.Lined up with other cheery folk, I was greeted by the smell of indulgence and fine pastries. I was alone and chose a caramel apple danish and a caramelized shallot and gruyere danish. As I left and walked down the street to explore, I decided to snack on the cheese Danish. One bite and I turned right back around to get two more.Run, don't walk, get there early and get two of most things when you can.Can't wait till my next visit to Toronto.

Amazing baked goods in a super friendly environment -- accompanied by creatively curated honey, jams, and chocolate. We got a raisin danish, which was just the right amount of chewy and crusty with plump raisins. The rhubarb pastry was super creative, with strips of the delicious plant just slightly candied and laid across the top, covering a delicious dollop of what I think was rhubarb jam. The bottom was, once again, crispy and sweet (but not too sweet). The cheese and jalapeño scone was excellent (could have made an amazing egg sandwich on this). The staff were also super friendly, and answered questions readily. Great place. These pastries are truly elevated without being snooty.

We had the almond croissant and a chocolate croissant here and they were both delicious! Not too sweet and very very flaky! In my opinion the almond croissant I had was a little too crispy and I kept coughing because things were getting stuck in my throat but I loved every bit of it!! It was a cute little store and can’t wait to try their breads and other desserts! friendly staff who helped us pick our croissants!

The chocolate croissant was pretty good, but I’ve had better for the price. It had an overpowering melted butter taste

This place is amazing. They are all friendly and helpful. Amazing spelt sourdough. First time we’ve felt like we had homemade true sourdough from a starter. Delicious pastries too. Only negatives…there’s no delivery and it’s very hard to find parking. Prepare for a bit of a line too…but what do you expect with fantastic people and a delicious, quality product.

Almond croissant and canele are really good. Canele is the best which has really crispy outside and moisture inside. I love the cream of almond croissant.

I read many reviews about Blackbird so I decided to visit this place. I wasn’t dissapointed.The dough they make is very fresh and tasty.The texture is perfect for my taste. Lemon tart is 10/10.Would be fantastic if the have small seats.

Everything here is amazing. Sourdough, baguettes, baked goods, sandwiches… all awesome. Reasonable prices for how good everything is and friendly staff. Run, don’t walk to this place!

Good quality bread. Kouign aman was great. The sourdough was nice and crusty and the pecorino foccacia was good. Friendly staff and the store looked nice and clean. The prices were reasonable for artisan bread. I paid $6 for a loaf of sourdough and they can also cut it for you.
