Déna Yousefi was truly helpful and was able to understand the needs of my parents for their power of attorney and also in drafting my will. She is fluently bilingual. At all stages of the process, she was clear and offered good examples to help us understand the legal language. At times, I was, myself was uncertain what the needs were for my parents, yet she seemed to see and understand what their concerns were. She was thorough, and we left feeling assured that all was being handled properly. I would highly recommend Déna Yousefi for all notary needs.

No I do not recommend this notary. The google comment page wasn't like that a year ago. Many negative comments disappear. Lack of professionalism and lack of communication were the main problems when they dealt my case. We had no choice because it was our seller who chose to use their service. I have used three different notaries in Montreal for the past few years. This one is the worst among all 3. I shared my experience with my real estate agent, he agreed with me that this notary was doing below average among all notaries he had business with. The office is not responsive to the emails which caused a lot of frustration and misunderstanding, and they don't explain much. One year after our purchase, we are still waiting for some of the documents for that transaction. Please avoid if you have another choice.

After dealing with half a dozen notaries in the past years this is by far, there's not even a close second, the worst experience dealing with a notary. Mr. Manfrin didn't really work for both parties' interests. He lied a few times. He requested documents that were provided to him and later he could not find them and said he never got them even though they were sent twice and when time came to sign the information requested was already on the forms, proving he had the information. His way of adding fees and providing details lacks transparency. He had us sign the sale documents and didn't mention he didn't have the money until after all documents had been signed. There were so many inconsistencies and mistakes that I searched him to make sure he really was a notary. Both the seller and buyer agreed this gentleman was smug and not clear in some aspects. Stay away from this place, you will probably save money by doing so and not be surprised by an itemized bill that makes no sense.

Very thorough, taking the time to review the adjustments and even translated the deed of sale as he presented it to my English clients. It was a pleasure communicating with Isabelle Parisé his secretary, who responded quickly when she had the answer & made several modifications last minute to an ever involving transaction. I would consider having Me. Larivière advise me on my own acquisitions in the future.
