Had an awful experience ordering from this place. Ordered online and when I called to confirm that it went though I had to talk to multiple people who wouldn’t even speak to me but would just pass the phone off to someone else. Finally someone said that they’re shutting down their online system in a few days from now so weren’t expecting to receive an order(??). Then said they were out of an item I wanted so they’d replace it with something else. Was offered a Diet Coke to make up for the cost difference instead of the partial refund I wanted. Delivery took over an hour (was quoted 45minutes) and when it arrived they didn’t bring the coke or any soy sauce (which I asked for). I also ordered mixed pan vegetables and receive only bok choy instead of the mix that the picture and website description stated. The rest of the food is barely warm, all of the meat is soggy and the sweet and sour pork is horrendously tough and stringy. Paid $100 to be incredibly disappointed. Will never be ordering here again.

Ordered 2 dishes plus rice and soup through UberEats. While edible, the food wasn't hot and certainly didn't look or taste fresh so I would not recommend this place. We were also given the wrong soup which was refunded by Uber. There are a lot of other Chinese restaurants nearby offering food at this same price point ($40 for the combo). There's really no reason to order from this place as the food simply isn't good.

Where to begin.... Wonton soup broth is basically water. The one wonton I did eat was aging for sure. Basically rotten meat inside. Not sure how they call themselves a wonton house with this quality of wonton soup. Apparently Mixed veggies means bok choy to this restaurant... They offered a free beef and veggies with first order. Turns out it's the strangest mushiest meatballs I've ever tried in my life and just bok choy. Black bean and veggies chow mien ? Yup, just bok choy and sauce.Honey spicy sesame crispy chicken? No sesame , no spicy. here's the kicker , mixed veggies filled at least 50 % of this container. Strange as that is not described or pictured for this item at all.So what was not wrong with my order was rotten or inedible. Save you money and spend it at Burnaby Palace of you want good Chinese food.

For the love of god and yourself, please don't eat here. (Spoiler: rats)I admit, online reviews of food are often subject to immeasurable personal taste and other circumstances that the restaurant may be facing that day. After seeing more than average rating for this chinese place, we visited and ordered 3 different dishes for dine in: Minced Beef with Chinese Parsley Soup, Beef brisket rice noodle, and garlic eggplant rice. The soup is a personal favorite of mine and I've had it numerous times across Vancouver. The beef was not only minimal in amount, but also in quality; the soup was only flavored by white pepper powder and the scent of parsley, the hallmark of this dish, was MIA.The beef brisket soup was even worse. I'm not a great cook so I can't explain what exactly is wrong about it, but the soup had a very strong old oil taste that was borderline disgusting. The rice noodle and beef briskets were unappealing; both I did not dare to try.The only reasonably acceptable dish was the garlic eggplant rice, which was still miles away from what I would call great. As a traditional chinese dish, it was so whitewashed" that I thought I still hadn't moved out of White Rock.Oh

My husband and I shared a combo dish. Large portions and food was fresh, with the sweet and sour pork nice and crispy. The service was very efficient and we will be coming back!

I ended up at St. Paul's Hospital and got So tired of hospital food. I was craving Chinese food and discovered this hidden gem, around a block away. I got the lunch special. Walking in I expected to see the classic assortment of dishes behind glass, but to my surprise there was nothing in the warmers. I ordered 3 items, with fried rice and he cooked it all right in front of me. It only took 5 or 10 minutes, and it was so delicious hot and fresh. The cook, and the lady with him were super friendly. I live on the other side of town, actually I live on the outskirts of Chinatown, but you had better believe that I will be ordering from Twins Chinese Kitchen for my Chinese food cravings from now on. The best Chinese food I've had in a long time. Thanks Twins Chinese Kitchen!

One man show! Chef/ host/ server/ owner, this man does it all! Not very big on conversations but his cooking speaks a language I can relate with. A little hard to find so be sure not to miss this spot. We ordered the sliced beef soup with green onion and the sliced fish congee. I highly recommend the sliced beef soup (number 47 on the menu)

After 7 years, the son of the original owners of Patterson's, now renamed Twins, has returned and boy am I glad. The food has returned to form, cooked fast and expertly. The beef fried rice noodles were stir fried to perfection and the braised tofu in a bed of tender veggies was tasty as heck. The menu is still pretty much the same HK cafe fare as before but just sooooo much better. The previous owner did his best but the food was always mediocre. Forget about Ho-Hos or the other more expensive Chinese fare... DT Vancouver once again has a great HK style Chinese restaurant in Twins Kitchen. (Pick up in person and you might get a discount too!)Update June 27, 2023: just went back for their lunch special combo. I had 2 items with fried rice for $10. Their beef Brisket radish was delectable and eggplant tofu was excellent. Another great meal and ridiculously affordable meal. Do yourself a favor and support this place.
