Otter River Farms

Doug has a beautiful property with wonderful landscape and lots to see and do. From the old barn to the trails by the river, to the spring fed pond. I've stayed at 3 of the cabins so far the train station and straw bail cabins include solar power good enough to charge a flashlight or phone. All the cabins I stayed at included a propane tank and stove. Doug responds frequently to any questions you may have so you feel like all you have to do is show up and relax. Can't wait to go back!

Beautiful property stayed in the main house 12 of us and did not feel crowded at all. Wood for fire supplied Doug checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Fishing swimming trails all on property will definitely book this as a yearly vacation. Thank you to the property owners for making this a wonderful experience

Otter River Farms is the BEST local destination if you’re looking to wilderness camp, rent a solar powered cabin, go fishing, ATVing, kayaking, walk or bike the 10miles of nature trails or take a relaxing river cruise in a tube!
Doug & Sandi offer 700 acres of pure forest and farm land! They have turned their property into a family (and party) friendly oasis for an affordable price. The guests they attract are respectful, if you run into them. All the damp sites and cabins are away from one another offering so much privacy like you’re the only ones there! This property and the owners are truly amazing.

Thank you for your hospitality! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Your cabin was very clean, cozy and secluded. Your property is very well maintained. I'm so glad I was convinced to do the boat float it was my favourite day! The ponds are stocked with fish and we caught cat fish in the river. The beach and town which is 5 mins away is conveniently located to your property. We will return again thank you!

Absolutely a beautiful place. The love the owners have for this property is apparent and it is truly a gift that they share their oasis with the public.We stayed in Lower Bush cabin and it has all the ambiance we desired. The rustic and historic feel of this cabin gave you such peace.We definitely will re visit Otter River again.The reason for the 3 and not a 5 is the propane stove was extremely dangerous to use. The setting were not working and propane comes out as soon as the tank is turned on...this made lighting it very unnerving. The wood stove in the cabin has a large peice of glass missing. There is no screen to prevent sparks from landing on the wooden floor. Both extremely dangerous.

Very awesome place. The treehouse was everything from the drive to it to itisolated private area. Lot of nature and peaceful. It was everything we expected and more. Will book again for a long stay. Thank Doug and Sandi!

I don’t want to post a good review because I want to keep this place all to myself! Outstanding in every respect, clean, peaceful, beautifully rustic cabins, nature, forests, fields, ponds, the list goes on! My new favourite place, I look forward to visiting regularly! Thank you Sandi and Doug!

What an amazing experience! As soon as you are driving up to the property you know you are going to be in for a treat!When we arrived, we got to met tge lovely Sandi, very friendly, showed us the path to get to the treehouse. The drive through the woods to get to the treehouse was beautiful!Once we arrived at the treehouse we were in awe of the quietness, the beauty of the forest and the seclusion!The treehouse itself was very cozy and romantic with beautiful ravines river views!Outside of the cabin was a nice area to set up our dining tent and still had plenty of space to sit around the fire, andcth outhouse was super clean and fresh!There are lots to do here! Two different paths that will take you to the river where you can fish, tub or kayak! Plus other hiking trails to enjoy the scenery of the forest!We met Dennis the following day and he was friendly and knowledgeable about the trees and the forest itself!Our only regret was not booking for the week! Thank you Sandi and Dennis, we will definitely be back!

Otter Farms is a great place to go for a relaxing weekend with lots to offer on the property. Go for walks, swim in the pond, take a leisurely tube ride down the river without even leaving the property. Various accommodation options to suit different types of vacationers. Would highly recommend. I've visited Otter at least 5 times now and keep going back.

Beautiful property, and gorgeous cabins. Doug is very pleasant and makes sure everyone is taken care of. Really great river for tubing, and ponds for swim swimming in . The tree house canin was a great experience.
