Gatineau Park P12 (Meech)
Great parking spot to drop your Kayak or Canoe and go for a nice ride on the Meech Lake. You can also come play with your dog in the water, throw the ball/frisbee and make them swim. Couple of boats and cottage but the lake is still pretty chill. You can also leave from here to walk up to the Tawadina Lookout for a long walk/bike ride in the nature. This place is really beautiful in Autumn when the leaves are full of colors. Here's couple of shot from this area.

There is a boat launch and trail off of this parking lot. The drive there is beautiful along a street with beautiful houses. I didn't make it far UP the trail but it ran along a creek at the beginning and was quite pretty. But the trail is immediately on a steep incline so not much time to warm up your legs.

The trail was fun and Physically demanding. Most of the trail is all up hill, except for the last portion. So be prepared to hike. Definitely recommend going during the fall with all the amazing colours.

Crazy busy parking lot. Often fill by mid morning. Tight road along Meech to get to it. Great trails from here however. Note that in summer you must pay to park here.

Love it.So BeutifulRelaxing. Be with nature.The best place to go and get away from Ottawa.It not far from Ottawa.I feel so relax and so happy when I get home.Walking 2hrs was amazing

A convient parking area that is next to Meech lake. A spot is available to launch a canoe or a kayak. Nearby are a pair of outhouses that can come in handy before or after hitting the trails. To get to P12, you need to travel along Meech road which can get bumpy since the road is lacking upkeep.

Beautiful hiking/biking trails. Keep an eye out for Ziggy the raccoon. He/she seems pretty young but extremely friendly. Just don't get to comfortable around him/her as it is a wild animal after all!

Fantastic place to walk towards the top of the hill (it's a steep trail though) and a wonderful lake (great for summer)

Good access to boat launch with parking across the road. Can be full on weekends. Coming early has not been a problem. 12$ parking.

Lovely lake for kayaking...not too busy during the week so a good time to visit.
